Elon Musk Is Hyping His Robots and I Ain't Buying It... neither are the investors

Elon is trying really hard to impress his investors and even me, without anything to lose if the company fails ain't buying into the hype at all.

I totally agree, the sight of robots serving drinks at a Tesla event looks cool, but that’s all too it, cool.

I've already shared a blog about Tesla's Optimus robots and yeah they could dance and hold cups but I think the investors were looking for much more than this to build their trust in the company.

I wouldn't call his robots autonomous, not even close. When I heard about employees remotely controlling them, I was like "Really, We’re still doing this shit?"

It doesn't look like groundbreaking innovation at all. If these robots can’t function without someone behind the curtain, how can they ever live up to Musk’s claims of when they're be ready and capable of actually helping people?

I've followed Tesla’s ambitious promises long enough and I think I've spotted a trend of theirs, big talk, little delivery, always.

I remember when they said self-driving cars were right around the corner years ago. We're still waiting and I bet GTA 6 will be released before we see Tesla Self-Driving cars. He also talked about Mars colonization? That's not looking good, either. This robot business seems to be following the same pattern. There’s always some impressive demonstration, but once you look closer you realize it's just a publicity stunt and primarily intended to keep investors interested.

I understand most people want to believe in this future where robots make life easier, but we need to be honest about where we really are. If Tesla is still remotely controlling robots at a demo, we’re far from having one cook our dinner. Maybe one day, but based on history, I’d bet it’s a lot further off than Musk claims.

it is interesting how things will be going on in the future with Elon Musk and it's company.

I've never really viewed Elon in the light of a con man but maybe this whole robot situation has changed my mind. I sensed entrepreneurial desperation from him when he scrambled over to Trump's side or when he suggested Warren Buffet invest in Tesla. We will see, it can't stay hidden forever, the truth. That aside I think fully autonomous robots is a complete possibility. We just haven't pushed hard enough. Thanks for the update and happy sunday.

I didn't know they were remote controlled. That doesn't seem encouraging, but to be honest, I wasn't in a hurry to go party with a robot anyway, lol.
