So Much about Luck in Gods Unchained... My Adventures and WR. One More Diamond Card in My Deck
This was like that: I climbed up to 1500 in Mythic last Friday and felt like a king and, then, started losing and step-by-step descended to Solar and even dipped my feet in Auric. How, why?.. Of course, both the rise and fall were significantly dependent on luck (a video proof is below). Probably, people are right when they say on Reddit that Mythic starts in Solar these days.
After the fall into Auric, I didn't wait and played against guys from Solar and did my way up quickly. Today, I decided to grind a little bit more and, look, I am in Ethereal Diamond and glimpsing towards Mythic.

Svart Basilisk is something new and helpful. Why. The reason of many hurtful defeats I had was that I had nothing to fight against sleep. Control Deception and, sometimes, Sleep Death snatched victory from my hands many times in Mythic and Ethereal Diamond. I have opted for 1 Svart Basilisk since it is also a relic remover. I've encountered no sleep decks with this deck yet but the card proved to be helpful, for example, against Moonlight Charm, recently turned popular among Nature players.

Zombies are rare on my way in last days (alas) but they are still played and Svart Basilisk along with 2 Bound by Her Will make my deck the most zombie-resistant.
Svart Basilisk can also be a carrier of buffers to beat Magic or Anubians which is an opportunity considering that my deck is full of 1-health strength-stealers.
I've included Lady Marcella and 1 Uncanny Rogue since there were more big creatures on my way in last days, and Aggro Light is often as well - thanks god! - my win rate against it very high (as always though).
And this time I have 2 Assasin's Aim.
Shadow Looters Bought
I told what was my problem in my last post - I have a huge collection of shadow Deception cards and I would like to play full-shadow decks only for that reason. I didn't have shadow Looters until recent times. At last, I bought them after I had a massive sale on my Core cards.
I didn't find place for them in the deck this time after having tests. But now they are at my disposal.

Prices for gold Heroic Brawler are ridiculous from time to time. Prices for meteorites can be as low as 0.04$. I couldn't resist.
I have played Heroic Brawler in Mythic and climbed to 1500 with it in the deck so it is playable.
Heroic Brawler isn't hidden so opponents immediately use all sorts of removers against it. But if they have nothing, that's trouble for them.
Thus, I have 2 diamond cards in my deck (Heroic Brawler and Shakedown), 7 golds (Makeshift Shiv, 2 Stoneskin Poison, 2 Blade Borrowers, 2 Sneaky Bruisers). And all other cards are shadows. 🤠
Weekend Ranked (With Old Deck I Described in Last Post)
On Friday morning, I was amazingly lucky in Mythic. Unfortunately, this was happening before WR started.
Maybe, the reason was that people play more compatible deck on WR but I believe this is only partly. Look at this lucky match (in Mythic) and you'll see that no skills, no cards can stop you when gods on your side:

Heroic Brawler with your own weaken effects is a little weird making your opponent's creatures weaker and possibly buffing them. I guess you can trade them off before playing Brawler.
Heroic Brawler doesn't buff enemy creatures, only friendly ones (which goes well with echo cards). If no friendly creatures on the board, it buffs itself so you have 6/6 Heroic Brawler at the end of turn (in case no stronger enemy creature on the board).
Oh, I'm remembering some other card that buffed the weakest creature.
There is one. Protective Local.
Irc old Alika was another one.
For example, it goes well with Switch Duelist. It makes its health 2 so you can hide Switch Duelist with the god power. Also, when you steal creatures by Bound by Her Will, Heroic Brawler might buff the stolen one at the end of turn. So the creature is complimentary to this deck except it doesn't belong to Guild and it is weaker than Sneaky Bruiser. However, when you are having both Sneaky Bruiser and Heroic Brawler on the board, you usually have good chances to win without +1/+1.
Well, I'm down in Auric Gold (rank 9) after playing today. Still matching with rank 10s and about to drop into shadow. I've never seen so many 'go second with bricked hands' in my life. I've tried running all kinds of gods. Mostly lists from here or netdecked off gu decks.
Think I'm going to take a break for a few days. I've gotten slowly sucked into try-harding because everyone else is over daily p2e. It's not fun - particularly when you're losing even when trying. There has been an increase in players, but it's like 2000 new people. Every match is maximum sweat.
I deranked to Midnight Shadow 2 weeks ago or so. You can't stay there for too long if you have good cards. If you don't stop playing after reaching Auric, you'll keep playing against Midnight guys and this is the shortest way to Solar. But... a very time-consuming game so... if you feel you need a break, it means you need a break.
Tiredness leads to mistakes: recently, I wanted to buff a creature by Selfless Guildmate but cast Stoneskin Poison on it instead. I was surprised myself 😀 Probably, my subconscious told me to go to sleep in this way 🙂

FYI, I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard that if you restart the game, maybe clear cache, after you drop a rank, it'll match you up better with your own rank.
Interesting. I'll definitely try it. RNGesus was kind to me yesterday and I went 9-1. In ED threatening Mythic again, but if I can streak 9 wins I'll probably streak 9 losses soon and be right back down 😄
