Wonders of faith

Life can be so unfair at times that you have to wonder if you offended anybody.

I am a jovial fellow with a good sense of humor, I always tell my friends that in everything that happens in this life, I trust God and have faith.

Sometimes, I will crack jokes with friends that I have faith like a mustard seed. But when a problem hits you, your faith will be tested, and then you will know if you have faith or not.

Christy what are you going to do now that you have this problem, cause it's not looking like you will be free from this man's claws, my friend Fortune asked

I don't know. I am confused as to what I can do right now; any idea is welcomed, I muttered, coiling myself on the bed.

Have you tried begging him, at least, to let you write the exam? Miracle chipped in.

Why should she beg him? She didn't do anything wrong; he's just been wicked and mean, said Chinaza, another friend.

I just sight, still lying down on the bed, looking at the ceiling, lost in thought, but I can still hear the girls arguing.

Ok, do you have a better idea? Since you think this one is dumb, replied Miracle, obviously looking offended by Chinaza's outburst.

Well, I think she should report him to the school authority chinaza answered.

Miracle and Fortune burst out laughing at Chinaza like lunatics.

Reporting him to the school authority is a waste of time and resources. He has the upper hand in the school, student fears him a lot, and he always gets away with every nonsense he does, fortune said

To tell the school authority what exactly, that Mr Obinna didn't let her take her exams because she was 5 seconds late and was later, allowed 5 minutes to submission. Miracle, muttered every word under one breath with her voice sharp and firm.

Everywhere was so quiet that you could hear a drop of pins on the ground as everyone ran out of ideas on how best to approach the situation I was in.

Finally, there was a knock on my door; standing there was my closest friend, chidinma, I was surprised and happy to see her.

Come on in, what a pleasant surprise, I said, hugging her. I moved aside for her to pass, then I shut the door

She exchange pleasantries with my coursemates. Then sat on the bed.

As soon as she sat down, she went straight to the point, why she came; she didn't even allow me to ask why she came from ph.

What have you done about the situation? You cannot afford to repeat any semester; this is your final year in School. Have you reported the situation to your head of department she asked.

No, I am thinking of doing that tomorrow I replied to her

Do you think our head of department will help, they are birds of the same feathers I said my voice barely above a whisper but everybody was quite

Aside from this encounter, have you had any other encounters with him? Chidinma asked, trying to find a perfect solution to my problem.

Yes, he has made advances, but I refused, and that was it, I said coldly.

Like how many times, she asked again

I have lost count; I said, frowning.

This is my suggestion: we will go and meet him, beg him, and if he refuses, we move to your head of department and then back it up with prayer. chidinma suggested.

Surprisingly, everybody agreed on the idea, cause why not? We have run out of ideas.

The next day, I went to meet him and tried to beg him, but he refused that whatever I wrote in that five minutes was what I would get and he was not going to change his mind. I wept, begged but he refused and threw me out of his office

I came out looking more miserable than the day before, my friends comforted me, and I moved to the head of the department office, but he wasn't around.

I went home that day broken and devastated. Chidinma asked me, do you believe that faith can move mountains? I said yes.

Nobody but Chidinma engaged me in fervent prayer for 7 solid nights.
I prayed like I have never done before in my life and I found peace on the last day.

I went back to my head of department and reported him; fortunately for me, his reaction was not what I expected, but I was glad.

He told me you won't have that course carry over; you will pass out like others.

I left feeling my spirit lifted more than ever

My friends asked me what to do next; I told them l would leave the rest for God; I had done my bid.

Miracle doubting Thomas, asked do you have faith that this will work.

I told her that I do; I even went ahead to quote the scripture for her, that the bible says if I have faith like a mustard seed, my faith will move mountains. I said it as I felt at that moment, Right now, I have moved a mountain that seems impossible.

She said amen, but I should have tried to still sort for another solution.

I moved on and focused on the other exams not bothering about him anymore.

Months after our exam, our results came out, lol, and behold, I got an A in that particular course. It was a still Miracle, my friend, who first saw it and broke the news to us all.

She said your faith has moved mountains for you. We all celebrated that's how I graduated with my set
