Exploring outdoor parks | Giant crochet Christmas tree and water dragon statue

Happy weekend, dear Hivers! As mentioned in my previous blog (see: Christmas tree at J mall), I am in a hunt for the grandest and most beautiful Christmas tree for this year's holiday season.

I stumbled upon this unique Christmas tree, made out of crochet balls, at Oakridge Business Park. I remember my officemate mentioned months ago that there was a crochet activity organized by Cebu crochet Group in Oakridge. This event is for a good cost, to help people with cancer and other disability. Unfortunately, my friend wasn't able to join the activity due to prior commitments.

Fast forward to this day, these are the output of that crochet activity. Each balls are made out of love and pure intention to help, plus designed uniquely since hundreds of people created them. It must've took a few days for each balls to complete. My favorite crochet ball is the one with a snowman head in the lower center.

This is by far the most unique Christmas tree idea that i've seen. it would've looked better if they added Christmas lights on it. I wanted to touch this delicate decor but there was a barricade surrounding it.


Beside this Christmas tree is a giant water dragon statue. Although this isn't specifically a Christmas decoration, the statue complimented the tree with its lighting. I hope they will add more lights in this area as i find it too dark. One cannot fully appreciate these masterpiece at night.

This 'Love The Philippines' signage could pass as a Christmas decor too. But originally a reference to Philippine Tourism's rebranded campaign.

Oakridge Business park has a lot of decors in different corners but these are the only ones i took a photo of. Maybe next time i'll take more photos of the place.
