THE POOR, THE RICH AND THE WEALTHY? || WHY PEOPLE REMAIN POOR
There are three groups of people in the world today: the poor, the rich, and the wealthy. Although some people may fall into the middle class, or somewhere between the two, it is still important to recognize their differences.

While scrolling through WhatsApp status yesterday, I was intrigued with the content of the video and how it classed the poor, rich, and wealthy. It says:
cars, houses, etc.
Why do people remain poor?
Looking at poor people and why people remain poor:
The fact that having to think about money or having money alone is a problem for one's mindset! The issue with people who are poor is their mindset about money and life!
This category of people focuses too much on money without putting much concentration on what generates money. They are mostly after:
1. Finding a Means to Get Rich Quick:
If you've ever been around a poor person, you've probably noticed that the majority of his chats center around finding a magic tree or a way to make money appear in his hand miraculously.

Their mindset is always focused on getting rich quickly without any effort. Hence, they get easily scammed by people who are merely interested get rich quick schemes.
If you notice, poor people are scammed the most because of their urge to get rich quick.
2. Not Ready to Put in Effort to Grow:
Someone whose mind is focused on quick wealth would have a problem making sacrifices and putting in the hard work to grow and be better.
To be successful, we need to work both hard and smart. Not everything requires a soft touch and less effort. Remember, "nothing good comes easy." So, effort is required.
3. Sees every opportunity as a risk:
For someone who is relying on luck to get things easily would see only the risks in every opportunity. Their main focus would be on what they stand to lose alone rather than what they stand only to gain.

This is due to the fact that they have been scammed most of the time due to their nature of wanting to earn magic money.
4. Poor planning and time management:
A poor person can spend the whole day worrying about money instead of planning on how to generate money. They spend time on irrelevant activities that don't contribute to their self-development.
5. Spend Time Criticising and Gossiping About Others:
One of the ways poor people waste their time is by spending it on criticizing others instead of learning from others.

They would be the people who know the latest news about the person who bought a car in the neighborhood. They are the ones who gossip about how people make their money or about what they hate and dislike about a person.
6. Never leave the comfort zone:
The comfort zone is a place to hold you back from pushing to your full ability. That's why poor people never know the full extent of what they can do and achieve when they leave their comfort zone.

This is due to their nature of not wanting to put effort towards growth and their reliance on only luck and smart work.
7. Poor self-esteem and dependence on luck:
You would mostly have poor people with poor self-esteem because they don't know the capability of their strength and are only restricted to their comfort zone.

They do not believe in themselves and rather depend on luck to get them what they want.
This is a drastic difference between rich people and poor people. Someone with a rich mindset relies on their capabilities and self-esteem to succeed in any task they take.

They don't wait for luck, they work their way to success because luck may never come unless you are prepared for what is to come!
8. A Different Perspective on Failure:
The reaction to failure strikes a huge difference between poor people and rich people.
Powered by Tenor
Those who are poor see failure as a sign that the opportunity is not meant for them, which is why they fail and end up giving up.
Those with a rich mindset see failure as a stepping stone and a means to improve where they are flawed. They see it as an opportunity to try again with a different approach and not focus on a single type of approach and expect a different result.
9. Steers far away from competition:
For someone who has been shown to be afraid of failure, loves staying in their comfort zone, and has low self-esteem, they would steer away from any competition.
You cannot ideally expect someone who is not ready to put in efforts to go into a competition with another person that would cause both individuals to put in more effort and hard work to do better.
Steering away from competition does not make one know his true strength and capabilities and also how to improve on them. This is why people remain poor!
10. Problem-oriented Mindset:
A person with a problem-oriented mindset is someone who only thinks about their problems and not solutions. They worry too much about problems and yet fail to provide any form of solution to these problems.
They don't see how they can utilise the problem in their surroundings for their own good. They lack the fact that every problem has a solution, and every solution you provide has the means to generate wealth.
Poor people remain poor, and rich people who are solution thinkers always remain rich. They utilise the available resources and convert every problem into an opportunity.
11. Form meaningful relationships:
Someone with a poor mindset only sees relationships as a means to have a beneficiary reward from them. They form relationships with people only because of what they stand to gain, and less on how to build the relationship and get to know each other.
You will find that these people only check up on you when they are in need or check up on you because they want to bill you.
12. Negative thinkers and unappreciative:
Poor people are negative thinkers in a way that they worry so much about life that they forget to be appreciative of what they have.
They worry too much about what they don't have and end up wasting a lot of resources at their disposal.
But rich people are aware of what they don't have but yet appreciate all they have and what life has to offer by giving their best to be a better person. This is what makes them rich!
MINDSET MATTERS!
Being rich and wealthy in life starts with your mindset. Changing your mindset in how you see the world and life changes the way you attract wealth into your life.
This is why they say your circle matters, as does the environment you find yourself in. If your environment or friends have a poor mindset, leave immediately for somewhere your mind can be nurtured.

Great article and always love to read about that subject. I believe competition is not the best way, but integrated cooperation is better.
Wealth is investing wisely to generate money without working for it.
Hmm! Integrated cooperation where people get to work with each other right? That helps too, people get to build relationships that way.
Exactly! Wealth is when you have money without working for it. It is very simple and that is done by providing ideas.

It all revolves around the mind
The way we think reflects how we take life
After reading this, i honestly think you need to write a book on this, you totally crush it,
You actually touch every part that has to do with how and why people remain poor.
Some people can be poor, but has rich mindset, but when you are poor and the your mindset is poor, then your whole ideas will be cycle on limitation,
Safe Estseem is another attribute, a lot of people including myself then don't always think, that i have what it take to get what i want,or to go where i want to go in life, constantly thinking down on myself, but thank god to few friends that bring out the safe estseem in me.
Comfort zone is a nice and beautiful place, but nothing grow there, comfort zone is like cooperate success,a group of individuals are doing well, but are you doing well?, comfort and cooperate sucess are dangerous because you won't know what life is saying because another person suceess is shielding you,
Frankly speaking you have said it all, thanks for sharing.
Comfort zone only limits you to what you have around until you don’t have it again. That’s why to attain true success, you need to step out of your comfort zone.
Sorry my reply in entering late.
It's better late than never.
Well done brother.

Mindset does matter since it is what drives us. The root of poverty almost always boils down to how you think, and that in turn reflects how you do things. Great piece man!
Yeah brother! The mind controls what we do and how we see things. If one's mindset is not right then, I am very sorry for the person.
Hmm.... Reading through this, my mind was up the whole time, like I literally held my breath and I don't know why or is this when they say, it took my breath away? Probably 🤷♀️.
It has always been a cause of worry as to why do the poor keeps getting poorer and the rich keeps getting richer and the answer has always been obvious but the problem is, we don't like learning or should I say, we don't like applying what we Learn.
The thing is, the poor keeps getting poorer because they don't want to accept the fact that they are poor (mind you not all) so this makes them want to always try to live above themselves. The poor have so much pride, they easily get irritated when they are around rich people. Instead for them to look for a way to learn from them, they end up finding fault with everything they do.
The poor loves comparing themselves with others especially those that are higher than them and this makes them feel inferior and worthless, they will start thinking they are good for nothing but they fail to realize that they are their own unique person. A man once told his student, why are you trying to be like someone? We don't need you to be like Elon Musk, we already have Elon Musk, we need you to be you, because that is what the world is lacking.
These words were little but after I thought of it deeply, I just learn to appreciate me for me, I don't care if someone is doing something better than me, as long as I'm putting in effort, I will not feel bad about it. Like you once said a story of two trees that were planted the same day, one grew really fast while the other was growing but it was not obvious, well that's how it is too with those that are struggling to be successful.
Maybe at some point even the tree itself that it's growth was not obvious will want to give up because the sunlight will be insufficient since it will be looking at the one that has grown very tall and has covered the sun from reaching it but until it bends (that is, leaves it's comfort zone) it will keep dying until it finally gives up.
The earlier the tree looks beyond that next growing tree and see the little ray of sunlight that's pointing at it through the leaves of the growing tree, the better for it.
Once again, my mentor has made me understand more through his beautiful and thoughtful write up, the last analysis I gave was about the tree was what I got while I read this post, I just understood that story better. Thank you for always sharing your thoughts with us, they are always educative.
I really apologize for replying late. You don't know how much I have on my plate. I was going through some of my old posts to figure out I skipped this entirely.
You have given good analysis and made more contributions to what I have written.
Yeah, everyone has their own time of success and the longer it takes might mean that something greater is coming.
You cannot compare the time it takes for a dog to give birth to the time it takes an elephant. The dog might feel more successful than the elephant in giving birth first but the earth would feel that of the elephant more when it finally gives birth to its success.
I understand, it's fine you came that's what matters.
Indeed we all have to know that everyone has their own time, we just have to be patient with ourselves sometimes. As long as we moving we will surely get to our destination.
Comfort Zones are always the challenge and also procrastination, your thoughts are very inspiring and insightful. If man can only move out of his or her comfort zone then they'll see that the world is a limitless mansion of wealth procreation ❤️ kudos dear
