Power Up Day, For May

avatar

I had a whole post written for my Hive Power up Day, but, for some reason when I went into my drafts to publish it. It deleted everything and then I closed out of it and it saved the new draft.

Which is fairly sad.

April
Last month was a really busy one for me, I got involved with a bunch of different projects on and off Hive. Right now I'm writing this while sitting in the airport on my way to sunny Spain! Which I've been really looking forward to.

Today in particular has been busy. I wrote 3 posts for Hive, published two of them, done a covid test, helped my mum with a few things in her house, edited a music video.

The music video work has really come in strong in this last month, but I should talk about that in a second post.

Diacords
I can't really go into much detail here because I'm writing this out on my phone. I usually talk biefly about a few Discord servers I'm in and recomend everyone to join. But, without a laptop I'm kind of stuck. When I'm in a less hectic place I'm going to update this section with the Discords and links to join them.

Power Up
On with the Power up! At the time of writing this my HP was 308

Upon powering up by 20 Hive I now have 328 HP.

I think this is accomplishment. As I have only been on Hive for 5 and a half months and have only powered up by 20 Hive per PUD since the first of Feb.

Happy power up day everyone!

I'm on my way to it, but I don't want to rush, I think I'm going at a good pace.

Happy Power Up Day to you too, @killerwot! I know the pain of losing a draft post. Can I recommend something like Hack.md or even a Gist on github_18px.png GitHub, as an online backup for your unpublished posts? Just be aware that the markdown tags on those platforms are not quite exactly the same as what is available here on HIVE. Sites like Hack.md do give a preview which is a close approximation of what your post will look like once it is posted here though. I hope that helps.

That's a big help, when I get back to Ireland I'll have a look up of those sites and see what they're like! Thanks very much.

Thanks @ablaze I'm doing pretty well I think. My goal is to make it to 500HP by mid/ the end of the summer. But I don't want to rush it by powering up too much each month.

Hope you're keeping well man.

Nice one man, you will hit that 500 target this summer for sure, especially if you keep up the regular and engaging posting. I see you are building up some HBD also, and why not when you make 20% APR. Maybe worth buying more HBD with your Hive and put into savings at 20% until you need it? The liquid Hive is just sitting there doing nothing for you.

Yeah, I should really, I was wondering about the 20% APR, is that every year? Because I've seen people saying that it's 20% a year, 60 days and even saw someone who said it was every month. But, I wasn't too sure which.

Ya man, it's yearly alright, the A stands for Annual, but 20% per year is still fantastic in my opinion, and you won't get it in any bank, you'd do well to get 2%.

I was thinking that haha imagine it was every month! Could legit live off the interest as nearly full wage with just a few thousand euros put in as HBD.

I'm going to put more into HBD for sure, because yeah that rate is one of the best I've ever seen.
