Hive Power Up and Sponsor
Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I'm here with the **Thirty sixth iteration (can't believe it's been 36 already!) of my "Power Up & Sponsor" initiative! I will try to be doing these monthly, to both join in on the Power Up day festivities but also to add my own flavor to it that I think would be great if more could join in!

Midwest and John are some new people that I started following and I am hoping that things will turn out well with them! They both seem like a good group of dudes and ones that will make the platform better with being on here and I'm hoping that the small gesture of a Basic Income share can kick start something for them to grow and gain more of these shares. Only time will tell but I think starting out with a good basis is important!
Rubilu is one of my African brothers! I'm liking the content that he's putting out and the effort he's putting into being on here, showing up and putting in the work while at the same time engaging with people in the community, especially the Leo Finance community. Those are good metrics in my book worthy of some support so I'm trying to do what I can to support them in that endeavor!

Thanks! I think these things are the best way to improve the mindset of people here on hive. By helping to promote an idea of kindness and friendship we can keep people here and help them excel!
Very true. Some people tend to get discouraged. This is similar to investing time and energy but with a little push further, they would've seen some green light however, they tend to give up early or have their prospects short-lived.
It is also good that we enjoy the process of building a network, understand that it is more difficult to ascend and quite easy to descend.

Update I figured out how to power up even though I initially transferred a few dollars.
You’re welcome man! There are two versions of power ups that people do. One is on the 1st of the month and that’s with liquid Hive transferring it to Hive Power, or “powering up” which is essentially staking.
There’s also leo finance, the financial section of hive with Leo power up day and that’s on the 15th of every month. Nothing crazy but those are the two most popular power up activities here!
I know the basic income share is likely a bunch of hieroglyphs but eventually you will learn about these small nuances to the platform. In the meantime, I started you off with one to get it rolling!
It’s a lot in the beginning but just have fun with it and learn what you can as you go and you’ll enjoy it a lot here! I started with 0.00 hive power almost 5 years ago, so it’s a road but it’s one that’s a lot of fun.
Thanks again, I didn't know about LPOD. Not going to rush over there immediately I was planning to check PeakD next. So many front ends to explore, haha. I'm getting a little more comfortable here. The next thing I need to learn more about is the slough of coins.

The new day according to blockchain time started 30 minutes before I published the post. That's when I post all my stuff, 0030 blockchain time but it does tend to be before most people get to it which is fine. I only learned it because I like to schedule a post at a specific time of the day and I’ve learned a year into it, that it happened to be 0030 blockchain time lol. So I powered up and it counts towards HPUD which is nice. Early bird catches the worm I suppose :D

It is a great initiative, for my part I attest that @coolmidwestguy is an active and amazing writer, that I have had the pleasure of supporting and guiding with the basic questions of hive, before he entered the platform, clearing his doubts and helping him to understand how is the basic functioning of the hive ecosystem.
So he deserves it very much, and I celebrate that achievement!

PS: I've been using presearch for some time, I'm still a long way from reaching 1000 tokens, but I hope to achieve it one day =)

Good job on the Presearch rewards! I’ve slowed down on them but they are a great tool and it helps to take clicks and market share away from the criminals over at Gulag (go##ogle). I’m happy with just that! Lol

Seems like everyday you are getting closer and closer to 30k Hp. Hopefully you will be there in no time. This time round I didn’t power up on Hpud but then am sure I will power up on one of this days.
You're welcome dude! Yeah I'm inching closer and closer! I don't know when I'll get there but enjoying the process that's for sure.
It's all good not getting to participate in HPUD! I have missed a few myself and back in the day, we didn't even have HPUD so it's a relatively new thing over the past 2 years or so I would say. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll power up just by posting and commenting!
Oh ok. I thought hpud started like 4 years ago. I think it’s a great initiative even though I sometimes won’t get to participate in it lol.
Anyways, I think I can get to 1000 Ho before the end of maybe this month. If am not able to do it this month then I will get there by the end of next month.
