My road to 125k HP before the end of the year
I have been thinking about setting some goals to make it interesting to power up Hive and work for that. I have been powering up a lot of Hive this year too but I have not done it like how it was last year. I initially thought 150k would be a good target to achieve before the end of this year. I still think it can be possible if the price of Hive stays the same but there are also some needs for me and that's one reason why I'm not putting all the money in the same basket.
Last year was the best power-up year for me where I could power up a lot of Hive. After I reached about 100000 Hive, I wanted to take it a little slow and started focusing on other investments in the real world. I continue to invest and now looking at the price of Hive and the market situation, it is very tempting to power up more Hive. I usually do a power-up only on the 1st of every month. There are a few reasons why I do it only on the 1st of every month. The first reason is that I would like to make an entry on the Hive Power Up day. The second reason is that it will show nicely on my status and the calculation will also be easier for me. The third reason is that if I hold some Hive as liquid and if the price of Hive suddenly pumps, I will have some opportunity to sell Hive.
Setting a soft goal to reach 125k HP
I would like to reach 125k HP in total before the end of the year. I have been powering up a lot of Hive every month and in addition to that I also make sure I continue to stay invested and curation rewards and author rewards are also giving me some additional boost. I think I can power up at least 1k Hive every month and in addition to that, the author rewards and the curation rewards are also giving me close to 1k Hive. There are still 3 more months to go and I think I should be able to reach 125k HP in the next 3 months as I'm a little over 118k HP right now.
I don't want to push myself very hard on this goal and that's why I called it a soft goal. Last year I was pushing myself towards the 100k goal but this year I'm taking it very slow even though now is the right time to invest as the price of Hive is low. If the bull market happens, we will not be able to earn this much Hive because the price will improve.
I saw a few more people setting some goals for them to reach more Hive power. It was tempting to stretch myself too but then I thought I had needs in the real world and I cannot be investing more money. Maybe if the market is favorable and if I'm able to get big success in any of the projects I'm involved in, I should be able to do a bigger power-up. Hope one day I will reach the whale status on this chain.
