The new year arrives
With it comes resolutions and yearnings
Leave behind things you have lived, dreams you have sleepless nights

The new year arrives
A horizon of dreams opens up
And of new experiences we will be owners

The new year arrives
For some people, celebration and joy
Others mourn departures and even later

We are that
Children of time and opportunity
Where there are more things to come
Than things to remember.

I doubt that machine translation can actually work on poems. Perhaps there's someone who could at least revise the outcome, as it is hardly as touching as intended :/
