Pa’ Coastă, infinity pool and a traditional mountaintop restaurant in Maramures, Romania
Hello travelers from all over the world
I look out the window and see how the rain hasn't stopped for more than 24 hours, actually I can't do much outside, I'm tied to the sofa, but wait, the images of the last day spent in Maramures came to my mind.
We left to visit on the last day an amazing place, I had read about it many good reviews and I wanted to experience for myself if it is so.
Where are we going today?
We will go together to a traditional Maramuresan village, maybe one of the most famous in this area, we will go to Mara village, but in today's post we will not visit the village (if you check my previous posts you will find my posts about other amazing places in traditional Maramures) but we will go to see a place probably unique in Romania.
Being in the mountain area the weather differs from day to day so the day before we checked into a guesthouse somewhere 5 kilometers away so we could get here in the morning and take pictures until the place gets crowded.
I can say that we were treated royally at this guesthouse with a great welcome and food of a superior quality, everything we ate is produced by the owners of the guesthouse.
Our goal was to be able to swim in this infinity pool, the only condition was that the weather was with us.
The day before the weather was perfect with temperatures over 27 degrees, we even called the reception to make an appointment to make sure we would get seats.
We rested very well at this guesthouse, but the next morning nature greeted us with this late fall landscape, but also with cold (I don't think it was more than 15 degrees) and lots of rain.
Yes, our plans were messed up, but we didn't give up on the idea, in fact we gave up on the swimming in that infinity pool part, even though the weather was not friendly and being close to this place we decided to go there anyway.
The weather wasn't showing any signs of changing, so I didn't go up to the pool, but took the drone to at least take a few pictures to get an idea for next summer, when I want to come back here.
I almost forgot to tell you how much the entrance ticket here costs, and yes, the access is done by paying a fee of 100lei/20euro/person, I think it's worth it
Since we've come this far, right across the street from this place is a traditional Maramureș-style restaurant owned by the same owner, so let's see what it looks like and maybe grab a bite to eat.
The restaurant is actually in the open air and more like a small museum, plus I saw that they even have a waterfall, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
If by any chance you come here you should know that this place also has accommodation, it's superb to be able to stay in such an amazing place.
We also checked the menu and decided to have a dessert, namely Papanasi.
Beautiful friends today's post has come to an end
THE END!
If you liked what you saw and read here please don't forget to give a LiKe, Follow, reBlog or a Comment, for all this I thank you, and until the next post I say goodbye.
P.S. The attached picture you have just seen are taken by me with my mobile phone(Samsung Galaxy S21) and my drone, and the text is also designed by me.
