Lumbung Temple Cultural Heritage - Sleman, Yogyakarta

IMG_4133.jpeg

Hello everyone, welcome.
How are you all? I hope it's in good condition. Likewise with me, who tries to survive amidst the many problems. Life is full of problems. Whatever that is. Tell me a little, I am very proud of my country where a lot of heritage has been passed down. But, lately my country has been too disappointing.

Today, I am very disappointed, that the president of this country is too openly nepotistic. It's disgusting, in fact it almost made me vomit for the past year. he did a lot of things at the end of his term which was supposed to come down this October. But, again and again cheating with many games. If you want to really know, you can search on the internet.

But, when talking about Indonesia, there is a lot of beauty that surrounds it. Filled with cultural heritage, one of which is the Lumbung Temple Site. One of the temples in Yogyakarta, close to Prambanan temple. The temple is similar to a rice barn, the character of a rice barn in Indonesia. By the way, the barn has a unique characteristic in Indonesia, which is a place for storing rice.

One of the interesting things in my mind is about how temples could be built in the past, far from the civilization of techniques for building buildings today. If we can look at some of the techniques and technologies that exist to build a building, in fact, in the past even if we think rationally, how could a very large building be built and it was still very strong.

Some of the temple buildings are very unique, such as carved stones. Similar to the pyramids in Egypt, we are still very curious about how the people of that era made buildings that still stand strong today. is it a miracle? Of course, it's all thanks to the universe that did it.

Lumbung Temple is also very unique, even the several of its buildings were destroye by the big earthquake in Yogyakarta in 2006, there are several temple buildings that are still strong and standing tall. In fact, these temples are still used as places of worship for Hindus.

Interesting detail of a temple building, where there are many incomprehensible inscriptions and relics. However, as a visitor who wants to see beauty and wonder, you should be grateful to have been given the gift of having a place like this in this country. One of the things that I like is some of the detailed carvings of gods on some of the walls and statues in the Lumbung temple.

Of course, that afternoon I saw various beauties of the world, where I saw the sun starting to set and the wonder of inscriptions left over from the 9th century AD. Do you know how it feels? It seems like the universe really loves me to be able to see beautiful things like this in this world.

Even though this temple looks very messy with various building debris scattered on the ground, that doesn't make its history forgotten. Once in a while, if you go to Yogyakarta, you have to know and stop here to see a cultural heritage left by the universe to study.
