A Festive Stroll Through Milan: Christmas Magic in the City
Hello, friends!
Wow, I just realized I haven’t written a post here since September! Unfortunately, 2024 hasn’t been kind to me, with one unpleasant event after another. On top of that, I’ve had a minor health issue over the past few months. But now I’m finally feeling a bit better and hoping to enjoy this festive holiday season with some peace of mind as I head toward the end of the year, wishing for 2025 to be a much better and brighter year.
Honestly, I’ve spent a lot of time cycling and only took a few trips, mostly for work-related reasons. But today, in this space, I want to share some photos I took a few days ago in my beloved Milan.
To tell the truth, I don’t live right in the city center; I live in a suburban neighborhood of Milan. However, whenever I get the chance, I always take a trip downtown—partly for some shopping but also because it’s the beating heart of this ever-evolving city.
I especially love visiting at this time of year because of the beautiful Christmas decorations. There’s a different atmosphere in the air—happier, more festive—with lots of people out having fun, enjoying a drink, and doing some shopping.
I have to say that, once again, I’m very impressed with Milan’s Christmas decorations this year. Even the tree in the Galleria is better than last year’s, at least in my opinion.
Of course, there were plenty of wonderful things to buy, but unfortunately, the prices are way beyond my budget.
I even made my way to the Navigli area, which is absolutely decked out for Christmas. It’s even more stunning and, in my opinion, an absolute must-visit if you’re in Milan.
I hope I can be a bit more consistent with my posts going forward. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these photos of Milan! It’s definitely a city worth visiting at this time of year when it’s at its most beautiful—much better than summer when the heat is almost unbearable.
Take care, and I truly hope to do something fun this weekend!
