________________________Hello everyone, how have you been?_______________________

Today's post is the third and last part about rivers of Epirus region. You can check my previous posts here:

So today I am gonna share some photos and informations about my favorite river Aoos which is located at northwestern Greece and southwestern Albania. It's source is near Vikos–AoΓΆs National Park and it's lenght is about 272 kilometres.

Some informations have been taken from wiki in order to be accurate!

I usually visit every summer Aoos river cause it flows through Konitsa village, which is the village of my boyfriend @knowhow92 and I love spending time there.

On July and August the temperature of the river is ideal for swimming, not very cold and not hot at the same time. In the middle of the day you will see many people from the village resting in the river to avoid the hot weather of summer months.

There is a path you can follow if you are in to river trekking is about one and a half hours and you can reach a beautiful monastery called Moni Stomiou which have an amazing high view of the village with the river.

Walking through the river is a quite easy path, most of water is serene with a few spots which have fast flowing water and you can avoid them. It is a plus if you have water shoes with you cause many stones inside the river are super slippery.

The other option to explore the river is following the path that local people have construct with ropes and cribbings which is a really funny trail to try!

One way or another Aoos river is a rare diamond of Epirus region which is worth to visit and explore if you ever have the chance.
