If you are in Naples, Italy you almost have to visit this historical wonder in Pompeii most famous for being buried under volcanic ash and pumice during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, but remained largely preserved under the volcanic ash. Pompeii was an ancient city in Campania on the Gulf of Naples, north of the river Sarno, today one of the most fascinating archaeological sites in the world with the best preserved ruined cities, excavations have revealded many informations about daily life in a Roman city and there are still new discoveries still to be made. Gosh, I've always wanted to visit Naples and especially Pompeii, but for personal reasons this year I couldn't make it to this part of Italy.
I really like your post but I didn't find out the price of an entrance ticket here and I know the ancient city is huge but I didn't see those human bodies charred by volcanic lava, I wish I could see those elsewhere here.
Thanks once again for taking me through this amazing city, it makes me want to visit even more.
Welcome, we buy the entry tickets online from home, for 19 Euros per person, without a tour guide, there are also three gates with tickets available, but there may be a long waiting line. Many thanks!
Thank you very much for the information, and yes, I hope that in the near future I will be able to visit Naples and as many sights there, especially as I am very close as time spent on the airplane to get there.
I imagine myself here, and I'd begin to think about all of the history that have happened there, and the people that have walked on the land.
Hey @almi I've been meaning to ask you, is traveling a hobby for you, or is it part of work?
Both, this time short during vacations, thanks!
You're welcome.
Wow! You went to Pompeii! That’s a very special and interesting place I would like to visit long time ago.
Absolutely, thank you very much!
It must be such a unique experience to explore this place. Both my boyfriend and I are really interested in anything Roman-related but never got the chance to actually visit Pompeii. We'll surely do it one day tho :)
Welcome, Definitely well worth a trip, the surrounding area also has a lot of attractions and makes the visit even more beautiful. Naples itself has so many great highlights. Thank you very much!
I love it! And…I’m a little bit jealous:) I’m dreaming about visiting this place for a long time now. Thx for sharing photos!
Welcome, thank you very much!
