Well, that's cute ๐
I have been sharing some weird and interesting animal stuff the past few days and today I will continue in the same spirit, with a cute little fella that @penderis showed me a couple hours ago.
Meet the sea.. bunny!
Cute right? ๐๐
Scientifically described as Jorunna parva, this is a small nudibranch, 1 cm long in average, that has been reported in Japan, Philippines, Tanzania, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles and a few other places.
In case you wonder, the black-and-white ears are actually rhinophores, a type of scent receptor. And as for the tail, it's external gills.
Here's a video if you are curious to see the critter in action:
If you have never heard of nudibranchs before, they are a really cool, often alien like group of sea slugs:
Nudibranchs are re a group of soft-bodied marine gastropod molluscs which shed their shells after their larval stage.[ They are noted for their often extraordinary colours and striking forms, and they have been given colourful nicknames to match, such as "clown", "marigold", "splendid", "dancer", "dragon",[4] or "sea rabbit".Currently, about 3,000 valid species of nudibranchs are known. source
A lifetime ago I had made this compilation with some of my favorites. Feel free to check it out.
Alternatively you can just head over to google, type "nudibranch" and click images. I promise you, you will not be disappointed!
Here are a few quick favorites of mine.
First, glaucus atlanticus, commonly known as the blue dragon:
And Goniobranchus geminus
Ok, enough nature oddities for today. Hope this post made your day :)

What all cute and creepy stuff doing at sea?
I really liked these stuff shared by you..really want to see this series of unseen or unique stuff more and more!!!!
Nudibranchs rock! I've been lucky to spot a few different species while diving, but you do have to be very attentive, most of them are so small they can easily go unnoticed. !PIZZA
Lucky you !!I have only seen one (I think) but it was pretty ugly ๐
Wow that's interesting I had never seen anything like that before
:)
These are indeed very soft and mushy due to their whole flesh body. They are distant cousins of land mollusks such as snails and slugs.
The bunny like ears are basically Rhinophores that help them sense stuff and tell them about the dangers, while their land cousins possess eyes in similar fashion instead.
They are pure protein dudes but eating them is never advisable, some of them carry toxins and may harm even if touched.
Carry on showing us strange things..
Pure protein? Yummy!
So cool, I hope to come across one of these some day, they're so cute เซฎ หถแต แต แตหถ แ

You right , life just ain't fair ๐
knowing my luck I will be reincarnated into the fucking bunny that uses his ears to get the ride.

You should have been a marine biologists with your interest of the water. Very cool
Now this put a smile on my face. it really does look like a dust bunny๐
A sea bunny ๐
A deformed bunny! ๐
Mutants are the best๐
Who wants to be normal?๐
I research more about the Sea Bunny and I'm astonished at what I found. It was my first time encountering such a creature. Actually, I have two bunnies at home so this sea bunny is truly a delight for me. Its ears are so cute and when they try move it is much cuter. !PIZZA
