Returning to the slow carb diet - Part 3

avatar

As I informed you in the last update 13 days ago, I was about to take a big family holiday that lasted 9 days.

And when it comes to weight loss, holidays are one of their greatest weaknesses, especially when they happen during the start of a weight loss journey.

My initial plan was to go OMAD (one meal a day) with my one meal being the hotel breakfast:

I will switch my slow carb diet for the OMAD diet, which means only one meal a day, which for me with be the hotel breakfast. I won't restrict my self when it comes to types of food or amount. I'll just stuff myself like a filthy animal in the morning

With not much success though 😂 I only managed to keep my promise for one day, as it made me feel totally miserable and I was like.. fuck that. It's a vacation. I don't want to be miserable.

So instead I decided to eat pretty much anything I wanted but I tried to withhold myself without going crazy with anything. Hey, I even had a couple of beers and ice creams.

And then the vacations were over.

And the next day morning after our arrival I paid a visit to my old nemesis. The scale.

The results surprised me! I was expecting to have added one or maybe two kilos but instead... I had lost 100 grams! I really couldn't believe it!

The only reason I can think why this happened is because I was constantly on the move, visiting places, swimming on the beach, playing with the toddler etc etc.

Huge win if you ask me!

Ok, back to the present now.

Today there was a social event I couldn't really miss so I stuffed myself like an animal and just enjoyed myself. I guess no cheat day this Saturday for me, lol.

Actually I was thinking no cheat day until I hit my next goal which is 84 kg. That's a weight I haven't seen on the scale for at least the last 6 years lol. Hopefully I'll get there in the next two weeks.

No post update till I reach it. Wish me luck friends 🤗🤞

It is because of your kid, trust me. You will have a fine heart just keeping up with his energy.

Vacations can be tough for sticking to diets, but it looks like you found a great balance. Constant activity with the family definitely helps. Best of luck reaching your goal brother !HUG

It looks like it went well even if you didn't go according to your plan. I guess all that walking is helping out.

So the lesson is, don't starve yourself, but move more.

There's no point in just dieting a lot to save weight, it's actually quite unhealthy.
Still eat 3 times a day, but maybe try to change what you eat.
And with most importance, move everyday. Set goals for yourself.

Yeah, I guess that's the ideal. Unfortunately modern lifestyle doesn't help with that. It was easy to stay fit and healthy 50-60 years ago when desk jobs werebt a thing 😂

It is very interesting that you had an amazing vacation and you made them as a memory. It is fantastic that you are trying to lose weight. Your formula of OMAD is very good because I follow it up to 15 days and I lost 5 kg of weight. My weight was 89 kg and after OMAD it was reduced to 83.8kg. After starting a normal diet my weight is now 85 kh
