A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS/ Dangerous love affairs (English-Spanish)

A Picture is.png

Greetings, friends of Hive, after some time without participating in the ‘A picture is Worth a Thousand Words’ contest of the @freewriterhouse community I come back to see the photo proposed this week. It is really attractive. This man sliding down the stairs has got himself in a bit of a pickle. I wanted to find out where my imagination was taking me, how he got to that moment.

Dangerous love affairs

A Picture is Worth A Thousand words.jpeg

That night when he saw her at the bar, alone, sitting at the bar, he wondered why such an attractive woman was alone at the bar. He crept up next to her and asked her if he could sit next to her. She replied, ‘Yes, of course, I'm afraid the person I'm waiting for isn't coming. Frank had no prior intention, he thought she was going to turn him down, that she would probably tell him she was waiting for someone or that she didn't want to talk.

Barbie, as she was known in the underworld, saw Frank and immediately knew he was the perfect victim. She smiled at him and struck up a banal conversation about the patrons of the bar, a group that had just arrived to celebrate some birthday or event. He bought her a drink and ordered another for himself. He usually went there alone, to have a couple of drinks. He was glad to have someone to talk to, a nice, pretty woman.

Before saying goodbye Frank and Barbie exchanged phone numbers and agreed to meet for lunch. After meeting for lunch, they continued dating, went to a movie, had dinner together, started sharing weekends. Frank was happy with Barbie. He didn't know she was cooking him up to involve him in an upcoming delivery, he wouldn't arouse suspicion.

That week Barbie told him she wanted to spend the weekend at the beach. He loved the idea. When he went to pick her up, he was not surprised that she was carrying a suitcase that was a bit big for a weekend. He thought that women always carry too much in their luggage and put the suitcase in the van. Carlo was waiting for the load on the beach to take it to the port. When they passed the tollbooth they had no problems, just as Barbie and Carlo had thought.

In the evening, Barbie made sure that Frank got drunk, and when he collapsed into bed, Carlo came to get the cargo that the young woman had packed in the suitcase. Everything had gone according to plan. The next day Frank woke up feeling dizzy, he didn't see Barbie, he went out the door of the cabin looking for her, she was waiting for him to push him out.

Amores peligrosos

A Picture is Worth A Thousand words.jpeg

It seems as though Frank was too trusting. He could have gotten himself into serious trouble with the law. Not only did Barbie use him in her smuggling scheme, she intended to do him harm. A lesson learned if Frank survives the fall while drugged.

An interesting story. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading. Take care.
