The fight between the two heavyweight boxers Lunuz and Redwin was publicly advertised in both the print and electronic media. The venue for the fight was organised in such a way that lots of spectators will be accommodated in the main bowl of the indoor sports complex chosen for the fight.

Tickets for the fight was billed to be sold out at least two days to the fight but it was to the surprise of the organisers that many tickets were still remaining even a day to the much hyped fight. Massive advert was run especially in the electronic media to at least get the desired audience but all was to no avail.

Disappointed, the organisers contemplated shifting both the date and venue of the fight to see if things will change but this idea was jettisoned when they were told that there will be strict restrictions on movement and sitting arrangement on the ground that COVID-19 has not gone!

At the end of the day the organisers had to make do with the much persons in attendance with huge loses recorded as a result of low ticket sales for the fight.

This short story is a five-minute freewrite: single prompt option inspired by the prompt: "Lots of Spectators". Join the @freewritehouse community to receive daily prompts, hosted by @mariannewest

Hahahaha, that's combat sports ok. It also has most admirers too and most sports men have made their marks with it. Think of Iron Mike Tyson, the great Mohammed Ali and others.
