First time exploring Pinamalayan Park, featuring the Rainbow Arc and the Sculpture beneath it.
When I went to Pinamalayan last October 10, I already planned to visit Pinamalayan Park and explore it to see what it could offer ro the citizens of that city. I told my mama about this, and she also agreed. Although I've been to Pinamalayan numerous times, we just visit shops and restaurants in that city, not the Pinamalayan Park.
I remember visiting Pinamalayan Park with my family and niece during Mommy F and Mama Ading's birthday last 2019, but we never had a chance to explore the place because our main purpose at that time was to eat on Jolibee, and we just stayed in the park for a couple of minutes. That's why the last time I visited there with Mama, I took that chance to have a walk and enjoy the scenery while also taking a lot of pictures.
So, come on with us as I take you to Pinamalayan Park. You'll surely love this too and might even want to visit it.
So, it took seven minutes by foot to reach this part of the park. But if you come by the entrance of Pinamalayan, it will take more time if you decide to walk from there. But if you are riding in a transportation vehicle, you can just ask the driver to take you there directly, which is much easier, no added fee for it. And on this part, this is like the exit. You can see the terminal for Tricycle. If ever you want to go somewhere or just to the market, the price, I think, still depends on the driver. When we go to the market from here, the driver asks only for $0.26, while before, some drivers asked us for $0.35 when it was just the same destination.
But anyway, we actually get inside on the other side of the park. Every part is the entrance, it's your decision what route to take. As for us, we took this here, and we were greeted with these pretty arrangements of different plants. You can see a lot of them here. And, when we get here, there are lots of students just hanging around with their classmates and friends. We also see lots of couples. I mean, a park is really a perfect place for a date, right? And single people can just watch, lol.
So, not far from it was this big gymnasium. I like this part too because it was very open. If ever it rains or if the sun is too hot for you to take a walk, you can just rest or hide in here. But the thing is, you have to stand, haha. But there are lots of better resting places here on the park to do that, and they are much more comfortable because they have chairs. But if only you preferred this. But of course, that's not really the main reason why it was built, lol. This is, I think, where some activities, events, or games happened.
I saw this beside the gymnasium. I am really not sure what this is, but it looks cool and pretty. Maybe it was one of the attractions here before when they had their fiesta? I'm really not sure, I'd love to know more information about it, so I tried searching for it, but to no avail. But whatever it is, it is a great attraction in this place too. Anyone who understands what's written here? Is it Chinese or Japanese, maybe Korean? Hahaha, I am just guessing, but I really have no idea, lol.
And here's more, you are slowly getting a glimpse of what Pinamalayan Park was like. It is full of greens everywhere, green here, green there, and green over there. Amazing, no (~‾▿‾)~ it's magnificent! I am sure that people also have their morning exercise here. I mean, with its amazing view, it is much better to do that here. There's hard ground in this park where you can run around or just walk. They also have railings, just like what we have in Plaza de Bansud.
Everything is beautiful, except those long pipes or whatever they are. There are too many of them. Are they planning to put lights on it? I am not sure either, but that's just a guess. I can't think of anything useful about it. How about you guys? Are they just decorations or something? Although they are arranged prettily, I can't still appreciate them, it's like they are just in the way of the natural beauty of the park. But anyway, the woman sitting in the first photo is my mama. Her legs already give up after a short walk, so she decides to rest. "That's a sign of aging", I teased Mom, lol.
And guys, this is one of my favorites on this part. This big rainbow arc and that beautiful art below After seeing that big rainbow, I remember the phrase "there's always a rainbow after the rain." It's like a reminder. And you will be surprised too when you go to the back of that rainbow because it has stairs. And you will love the view at the top if ever you decide to go take the stairs. It is really amazing in there, I will show that to you later. For now, let's go explore this part more, specifically the art that was sculpted at the front.
Here they are in closer view. I looked at this sculpture on Google via Google Lens, and then I was brought to a certain page on Facebook, where I saw a comment regarding the person who made it. The name is Gilbert Llave, which is said to be an artist in Pinamalayan. And about the meaning of those pretty arts, I read that what you can see here is the history of Pinamalayan on those sculptures, including the faces of those people who serve in Pinamalayan, I mean, the mayors, I think.
I'm not sure if this is from reliable sources, but that parson is from Pinamalayan, so there's a possibility that this is true. I mean, we can all see it in the arts, and there's no reason to lie. I'm glad that they shared that information with other people. I'm curious how long the artist took to make this, considering that it is wide and tall. His effort shows in it because they are all pretty. I want more information regarding this. But I couldn't find any, actually, I checked more information at the back of the rainbow arc, but to no avail, there's nothing in there either.
But anyway, I really appreciate this art. I am not from Pinamalayan, but I am proud of this. I think this is also one of the main attractions here, and there's no doubt that this is very attractive. This is the first thing I noticed when my gaze reached it. If our Bansud has paintings, Pinamalayan, on the other hand, has this! Amazing!
This is the last photo for today. I have to end it here because we literally have to rest in here for a while. Mom's legs are almost giving up and asking for a rest, lol, and so are my legs. So we decided to look for a bench that had the perfect spot. We found one, and I love it because it is windy. We don't need air conditioning because nature is already helping us. Isn't that amazing ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ.
