Walking along the emblematic Street Granada in the midst of preparations.
Autumn afternoon, but with warmth in the air and festive moods.
Winter is a month away, but this afternoon it was over 20 degrees, warm and humid in the air, a few clouds, but not threatening.
I wasn't the only one walking, many people were doing the same as me and even more so in the historic downtown streets.
One of the most famous streets in the centre is Street Granada, full of colour, shops of all kinds and a very particular architectural style.
This walk starts at the Plaza de la Constitución where you can already see the preparations for the Christmas lights switch-on party. In the distance I see Street Larios already dressed for the party, but still with the lights off. Everything is ready for the big day.
Ever since I arrived in Spain I have known that this street is one of the most important, apart from the ones I always mention as Street Larios.
Street Granada is always the centre of parades, parades, cavalcades and much more. There are all kinds of shops and it is one of the most decorated streets when there are events.
The Christmas decorations are already in place and are beautiful and eye-catching to see all along the route. According to my research, the lighting of the lights will take place on the last Friday in November. I will look forward to that date, it will be great as always.
On my walk and exploration of this street, as I mentioned, there are a variety of shops and many of them are ice cream parlours, at least on the first part of the walk.
The shops blend in with the old buildings, and if you look up you can see the characteristic windows and balconies.
There are also shops selling the classic turrones and sweets, which, although they are busier at this time of year, have buyers all year round.
At a certain point, this street joins many others and there is a lot of people and most of the shops are restaurants of all kinds and many of them have beautiful decorations.
If I keep looking up I can see the old buildings that always stand out and are beautiful with an old design that I love.
A circle where many streets come together and form a group of buildings with the cathedral in the background.
But my aim was not to turn off but to continue along Calle Granada, although you have to look carefully at the signs because the streets are not straight and you have to look for the continuation.
When I got back on the right track I came across a very beautiful shop with a variety of products, most of them decorations, but what I like most are the lamps, although the owls are very funny and I can't deny that the earrings are beautiful.
These narrow streets are often empty of people, and they look beautiful. People concentrate on the most important streets.
It is not unusual that Street Granada is one of the most famous for its shops, but also for its great gastronomic variety. I was able to take pictures of several of the restaurants there.
Of course, you can't miss the souvenir stalls and bags with typical illustrations of the city. People walk along this street all the time and all the time, day and night, there are tourists on it.
I always love to see these nicely decorated balconies, it is typical of the city.
I don't think I had ever paid attention to how many of the shops are ice-cream parlours, there are so many interspersed with the souvenir shops and decorations.
I could also see doors like this one, I love the wood and the way it is made. The old buildings still have this kind of details.
Walking and finishing this long tour, as this street is quite long, I could find a very beautiful mural, a very well painted hand, it alludes to the characteristic flamenco of this part of the country. Beautiful colours.
And the street says goodbye with the narrowest street and where it seems that the balconies of the buildings are going to touch at some point. This happens a lot in the city and it catches my attention.
On my walks I try to look everywhere, looking for those details that perhaps I have not seen before and that make the difference and make me know a little more of the beautiful Malaga.
Thank you all very much for joining me on this walk. Best regards and see you soon.

Nice nice, I am on my way to Spain right now. How are the autumn colours in Granada now?
I guess they must be beautiful, I haven't been there yet!!!! Thanks!!!😃
Thanks for joining the Wednesday walk
Have a great day
Thanks to you always! Best regards!
The cathedral must be really beautiful with buildings with great architecture. Nice to see you walking through restraints and souvenir shops. Even the balconies and ice cream parlors are so well done. The colors and doors have details that do make a great difference.😍
I hope soon to visit the inside of the cathedral and take pictures, it is beautiful. Thank you very much!💗
I love these pieces 🥰
And me too! Thank you very much!💗
I loved this pre-Christmas walk, not only to see firsthand that Malaga is back to normal, but also to see @avdesing live doing private detective work:
I also liked the detail of the door. Few people notice the doors, only the smartest people, you'll see why I say this (maybe next week).
I'll leave it here, but not before thanking you for such a great walk.
Hugs @avdesing.
Hahahaha I love being a private detective hahahahaha
I am an absolute fan of stylish doors and windows, wood and antiques, also the ones that are carved and decorated. I love to find beautiful doors, murals... well, I'm crazy! Thank you!
I'll wait for those pictures, a walk?
A super-walk 🤣
Así pues sí!! Que sea super!!!
Y con puertas 😃
Así me gusta... puertas y muchas!! A otro plano? jajaja te leo cuando regrese jaja
🤣 hasta luego 👋
👋
What a beautiful walk!
Thank you for sharing it, @avdesing
Thank you very much!!😃
I want the owls and the nougat for Christmas, one of each 🦉
I knew you would see them! I loved them and I want nougat too .... come on over!💗
What a nice walk, I also like to walk through the streets of my city and appreciate the architectural designs and their details. All the images are wonderful, they show us very well what can be seen in the center of Malaga, mainly Granada Street, although I really liked the narrow streets. They look a little like my Havana ❤️
There is always something different in the streets that surprises me and I love that, I'm really glad you liked the tour, thank you!💗
The streets look so cozy and warm. I like how everyone is enjoying their time around the places.
The souvenir store is super cool. I would definitely buy some random things from there.
Enjoy your day.
There is one shop more beautiful than another, all set up for tourism. Thank you very much!💗
That's what I can see, they are very attractive.

Interesting to have Granada Street in Málaga. I read the title quickly and in that second I thought you went to Granada indeed hahaha. They are preparing the Christmas lights here too but they are still off. I guess they will be switched on later in November or at the beginning of December? We will see
The hand mural is very nice! 😃
I fooled you! hahaha the day I go to Granada even God will hear about it! hahahahaha🤣
The mural is beautiful and the lights will be switched on on Friday 29th ... here....
That will be nice, the 29th of November. Spanish cities are so light and nice when that time comes! It brings me joy to see.
Hahaha, you will visit Granada, I am sure - and then we will see it too 😋
The streets and the weather are beautiful on this date... I already want to see the lights... lots of photos of decorations!
Christmas lights, roasted chestnuts, people all around - isn't it special indeed? 😇
It will be the first time I try chestnuts, I will make them at home, my friend taught me!
Maybe we see a foodie post from you soon :)
I hadn't thought about it hahahahaha
How nice and clean everything is. I know I would really enjoy a walk down that street, stop at the ice-cream parlour and then be thrilled by the flamenco dancing.
Ouch, it's almost December, a whole year has gone and that makes me nostalgic...
It's almost Christmas! You said ice cream... my downfall!! hahaha
How are you dear friend @avdesing good day
I love this urban exploration, on your walks you always delight us with beautiful shots, I love your city, I love the period buildings of the old town
