Do You Ever Get Burnout & How You Deal With It? | Alive Video Masters Series

alive video masters.jpg

Hello and welcome to Team Alive. You can also join us on wearealiveand.social. I'm continuing on this Alive Video Masters series to assist new and upcoming members taking part in the #iamalivechallenge and #aliveandthriving. Shoutout to @flaxz, founder and organizer of @wearealive tribe on Hive.

Serious question, do you ever get burnout? I'm not sure if I'm on the brink of one. 🤔 If you have, how do (did) you deal with it?

Backtracking, I remind myself on the whys -- why did you start in the first place? Sometimes, finding the answer to this question is enough to find that tiny bit of motivation (and inspiration) to keep going. It's naturally more tempting to just give up. That's easier. 🤣 but I guess, that's not my nature, not really, I think. 😏

Then, I just simply voice it out and ask my daughter for help, esp. with household chores. It's just too tiring to do everything all the time. My simple solution is let some things slip from time to time. It's tough to be perfectly clean at all times. 😂 (I need more of me to completely do so every time.) This is my main reason for hiring the cleaning person and the garden keeper. 🤔

Sleep. I think I need more of it. Trouble is, my mind won't let me sleep sometimes. Other times, I'm simply too sleepy that I'd need that nap or two. 😂 #storyofmylife

I'm mindful of my diet and food intake and try to eat as healthfully as possible. So, this part is not the issue.

Just this past week, I decided to revamp the look of my posts and added new stuff to them daily. That's my way of changing the way I do things. For me, it helps as it keeps me on my toes and enables me to adapt to change (no matter how small).

All righty, that's it for the week. I'll see you on the next edition of #alivevideomaster. Do share with me how you deal with (or even prevent) burnout. I might learn a thing or two. Till then.. ta-tah 👋

I think that everyone gets burnout sooner or later... Some people do more often than other, but everyone get to that point... I'm using some of your methods too... One of the most important is to remind myself why am I doing a certain thing, trying to zoom out and see the bigger picture... Usually that helps as burnouts aren't really rational... lol...
Also, another thing that can be useful is to break the everyday routine and do something different... At least for a day... Go shopping, beach, walk... Or go hiking...

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project which will be highlighted in the next post!

Sorry you are struggling with time and your tasks.

Sometimes i think we can be distracted with thoughts and things then lose track of time doing even consistant tasks we are use to doing.

It does sound to me like you probably just need a break, taking small breaks throughout the day can also help along with some walks if you can't take on a full break.

Make sure you give yourself plenty of TLC and reward yourself.

Daily meditation can help clear the mind so if you can fit it in could be a good practice to take up.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend @iamraincrystal 😉

You are welcome hope it helps my friend.

It is good to reward yourself people don't do it enough in my opinion i find most people apologize to others if they are doing something for themselves instead of realising actually they deserved it and maybe need it.

It is OK to think about what we personally really need and treat ourselves for a job well done or just because even sometimes if we see a loved one in need we help them and treat them.

If we are stressed out and miserable it can really disrupt our lives and others in a real negative way as well as cause long term issues.

Self love, giving ourselves some TLC is super important and meditation can help us find balance, chill us out and help us get through the day more peaceful.

It is easy to forget ourselves i think in this crazy world 😜

Have a blessed weekend @iamraincrystal

Great to see you alive on video Rosyel, sorry that you feel overwhelmed though, I get that too, maybe not burnout though, but then you really can't say how close you have been to that either, reminding yourself of the WHY is very important, and also sleep of course, a tip is to write down whatever it is that makes your mind wander so you can't sleep, that way it's safely stored for the next day and you can just put it away and relax, it helps me anyways, enjoy your weekend and stay awesome.

Thanks a lot Rosyel, and yeah if you find your mind wandering, just write down what bothers you so you can store it and relax, and happy Sunday.

Many times! That's part of my life! Alhamdulillah, with time, those times fade away.

Thanks for sharing your story

Wow good to know they fade away naturally 😉 guess it helps not to take things too seriously and accept that it's all part of the natural ebb and flow of life 🤔 still, I feel I need a break (just can't come up with a solution on who's to care for the pets while I'm on break 🤣) it will come... Inshallah! 🙏

I do happen to be burnt out most of the time, esp when I have to do mental gymnastics with my work and then I still have to deal with household chores. It's tiring. Some people will never understand.
So from time to time, I just let it be. Too tired. I would just set a day of not doing anything, not thinking about anything, just complete rest.
