Celebrating the Final Chapter: My University Sign-Out Experience
Finally, I have signed out from my university, and there will be no more next semester. Although I am not totally done yet, there is still a project seminar (post-data), a project defense, and a project exhibition. I have about this week and next week to finish up with them. This means that this week will be occupied for me working on my project report and making my project is working well.
So the main purpose of today's post is to talk about my sign-out day. It was incredible! and went really well thanks to the amazing friends that I have in my life, to mention a few: @creativepearl, @olujay and Chris Daniel.
Olujay was there with me after I finished writing my last paper exam and through my sign-out, he helped in taking pictures of me and my friends and carried some of my bag and some items. It would have really been a very stressful day for me if Olujay was not there for me. In fact, he had to travel all the way from Lagos so that he could be present.
Before going for my final exam paper, I had to tell my neighbor to help take me some pictures before going to school. The picture above is one of the pictures that he took with my top showing the caption: Finally bagged "B.Eng. If E easy run am". This is a pidgin English that can be translated to if it is easy to attain the certificate B.Eng, then you should run it.
Below are more photos that I was able to take before going to school
I was so happy knowing that I was writing my final paper and with the thoughts that there is no more next semester. I was exorbitantly happy that I was signing out as it marks the end of this particular phase of life. It had been a journey since 2016 till now, from attaining a National Diploma Certificate to soon getting my Bachelor of Engineering certificate.
Growth Catalyst
Here is a picture that I took with my circle members. I have written about them a few times and also about the importance of having a circle. The name of my Circle is Growth Catalysts and each one of us is a catalyst to each other's growth. Primarily we help each other academically which is the sole purpose of our union but now that we are almost done with school, we will work more on building our individuals skills, career/financial and also spiritual life.
A Surprise Package
The highlight of my sign out was the surprise package which I got from a close friend of mine. I was not totally expecting it but I kind of had an idea that something may happen because of when a friend called me some days before my sign-out to ask me if I love chocolates and I was wondering why she would be calling me to ask that question especially when I would be having my last paper in some days. So, I had the clue.
I was giving this gift box (that rhymed with the color of my clothes) containing chocolates and biscuits with a letter from my friend Chris Daniel congratulating my from my sign out. I was happy that he did such a thing, had to video call him right away to thank him for the surprise.
Proudly shot by Olujay 📸
I really appreciated the gift, but the balloon was kind of girlie to me, I was feeling like bursting the balloon but since it was a gift, I just had to keep it for a while before bursting it.
I spent a long time in school before heading home because I was waiting for @creativepearl to arrive so that we could take some pictures together and also for her to celebrate with me.
When she arrived, we were able to take some pictures together and also with friends of ours.
