I feel like I'm melting....

It's a cyclical variations in weather every year and for each season comes with its positives and negatives...

For the past few days, it's as if the sun is trying to come for holiday and dwell with the earth's inhabitants in this part of the world, hence, causing a great deal of increased weather temperature.

It gets hot all day long that you feel like you might be melting in no distant time as a result of the scorching sun and diaphoresis becomes the order of the night.
This isn't the time when children are begged to take their bath and everyone is forced into the bathroom multiple times to cool their body.

How is it supposed to be at this time of the year?

Ideally, this is the period for dry season so it's expected to be the way it is, but, it's just that this time around, it's excessive.

Is it better or worse?

No doubt various persons prefer various weather conditions as their best but personally I've always been an advocate of harmattan seasons.....
They're the best for me while dry season is the worst for me.

There are no much reasons for this but just imagine what people are trying to achieve when they switch on the Air Conditioner and yet cover themselves with duvet? Trying to recreate harmattan because it's a beautiful season, hehe.

What do you think is the reason?

Depletion Of Ozone Layer:

Scientifically, this is the main reason why this part of the country is this way.
Companies build their big infrastructures without incinerators for their burning and everyone is recklessly burning materials even the recyclable materials also contributing to this problem and because of that, the ozone layer serving as a protective shield between earth and sun keeps getting depleted thereby increasing Global Warming.

Deforestation:

This is the reckless felling down of trees.
Trees act as natural shades and air conditioners cooling the effect of the hot sun and this function is lost when trees are cut down.
There's also a theory about trees releasing their stored carbon dioxide when they're cut but it's not so clear to me though, lol.

What I think could be done?

Afforestation:

For a start, we should start growing back trees massively to aid us get back the protective effects they offer us.

Electricity:

The electricity providing companies should also help out in this moment of increased weather temperature by providing adequate electricity at night so as to enable homes make use of there fans and Air Conditioners.

Laws Against Reckless Burning:

There should be laws against reckless burning and recyclable materials should be recycled and reused to help save us from ozone layer depletion.

Good Security System:

It's funny to say but some might not have fan and would love to sleep just outside their rooms to get enough air but because of the insecurities will have no other option other than staying put in their rooms, hence, providing a good security system to ensure safety of lives and properties will go a long way in this period.

It's a season bound to come every year but then we can make it more bearable for one another.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day

The sun might actually be spending 2024 with us😂

The heat over here isn't funny though. Having your bath 3 times a day isn't even enough 😭

Greenhouse effect causing the maximum destruction to ozone layer. Recently I have written an article about it. The situation is getting worse with time..

You have really outlined the basic things to be done. Afforestation will go a long way and government must take responsibility. Thanks for sharing

Aaah, let the holidays just be in your room ooo, the rate of human activities is just on an increase that should be another contributing factor.

Just find a good way to help yourself dear

The heat is real everywhere and I am now begging for rainfall at least to calm the environment
You seem to understand the cause of this intense heat .only if humans can take more precautions and avoid things that contribute to heat
Just be taking slot of water bro
