Exploring New Horizons
To know what a good job is all about, one will need to experience a first hand change of routine from time to time. Though, as one gets employed, stipulated duties will be spelt out for him but with time, the work coverage may change from time to time. The only thing that can give you a piece of motivation on the job is when you get to do one assignment over and again. You will become an expert overtime because in th course of carrying out that one specification, you will become good that you may close your eyes to solve problems around the job.
I am glad today that I have an experi nice in a boring job and now, another phase has opened and the experience is nothing compared to my former job. As a teacher, I get to prepare my lesson. I can tell you for free that one of the most boring aspect of the teaching profession writing lesson note. May people shy away from teaching because of this.
Having taught in a secondary school for over two decades, I got a mouth watering offer in a conglomerate where I play supervisory roles around the companies that make up the group.
The first opportunity I get here is that I do not have to wake up at 4 AM like when I was in the teaching field. My work begins by 9 AM. I take my breakfast at home beforeeaving for work. You know, as such, I do not have to carry a heavy back containing food to the office. This has made my new job very attractive and less stressful.
You will be a witness to the fact that the jobs that pay more involve less stressful activities.
When I get to the office, I will spell out the do-to-list to my colleagues then we would get on the day job promptly while I will set out to see how the work of production is going on in the factory.
Two hours to the closing time, I will come back to the office to get the inflow of recorded activities in all department in hardcopies which have been logged into the portal to be cross checked by me. Here is the sweetest part of the job. The crosschecking is done randomly.
We do not have to go to the office on Monday because it's a general day off for all administrative employee. This is to say that I work only four days in a week. During all Mondays, I go out of the house if there is something very important in the house or with friends whom I have not been able to see during the weekends.
On Tuesday and Thursday, my job is like a hald-day job because the office closes by two hours after mid-day.
This is much more preferable than having to work from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM throughout the week as a teacher plus, the pay is very handsome.
Another aspect of my current job that makes me feel at he is that I have to travel very often. My traveling is to supervise se project which is primarily farm settlements. Through these trips, I have gained new insights as to some kinds of farming. Farming is very lucrative if you know how to go about it.
I am assigned a private air-conditioned bus to travel in with a driver and allowances to cover any expenses that we may incur during the trip.
Let me say I do not like to be held at one point. This is why my new job makes me feel like I am having fun while exploring all the opportunities I have.
You have a dream job, and an interesting one, I hope you keep it for many years, because it is surely the envy of many people.
Do you keep many friends at work? I would love to be traveling from one place to another, that reminds me of when I was young and did it. =)
I am not into keeping many friends. I only have colleagues at work, not friends. The traveling part o lf my job makes it fun and I go all the way to enjoy it.
