A Legendary Coffee From Margo Redjo Koffie Huis 1915
Actually, lately, I don't really like the idea of hanging out at a coffeeshop alone. Like, I need a friend to talk to while enjoying the fragrant coffee.
That day Semarang was a bit overcast, fortunately I was picked up by my friend at the inn to be taken to a legendary coffee place where the roastings are still manual and many variants are served. Locals call it, ‘coffee factory shop’. While walking down the street with google maps, my friend and I almost missed the coffee shop, as it turns out, apart from being a hidden place, the entrance is not at the main gate.
Margo Redjo Koffie Huis 1915
Margo Redjoo Koffie Huis 1915 is what is written on the entrance to this shop. Originally, this place was a private asset that the owner doubled as a business. I first saw this place on social media, then, while I was visiting Semarang, I decided to visit. If we're lucky, we can see the process of roasting manually.
However, when I got there, the roasting process had just finished, and some of the staff were busy cleaning up the tools that had just been used.
There are more than 30 types of coffee provided here, a variety of robusta and arabica. In addition, if visitors want to buy in powder form, they will grind it on the spot. So, all the coffee available here is fresh.
While consumers who want to enjoy coffee on the spot, seating is also provided. However, not many variants are served in the form of drinks. There are only: espresso, americano, cafe latte, cappuccino, caramel macchiato, mocha, affogatoo, spanish latte, and black fushion.
I immediately ordered the americano while my friend ordered the caramel macchiato.
The seating provided although looks simple, but still displays comfort. customers like being given a coffee atmosphere in the yard. I chose a seat on the terrace so that it wouldn't rain, because I thought it would rain soon. The sky was already very dark.
It didn't take long for our order to arrive.
According to my friend, his Caramel Macchiato was very good and the coffee flavour was very pronounced. The type whose coffee composition is more slammed with milk and other ingredients. As for mine, I didn't feel that it was bold. It might even be the type that is roasted at a light level.
Sure enough, no sooner had we enjoyed our coffee than it started to rain. So, we spent the afternoon with coffee and raindrops.
Thank you for reading my review of this legendary coffee. see you ...
Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.

Yes, I got the feeling that it was a private estate the minute I saw it. The conversion was a great decision as it looks like it was meant to be a coffee shop:)
Yes I agree with that. I would probably make the same decision if my personal property had the potential to be a business place too. Especially about coffee. Thank you for supporting me,@millycf1976
