Welcome to our curation compilation of some amazing original coffee stories from community members around the globe. It's been an amazing week with joyous stories surrounding the history, pleasures, and fascination that we all have for our favourite beverage, coffee, that we have skimmed for throughout the week.

One thing that I do think is worth mentioning is that they are constantly experimenting with the water used in the preparation of the coffee. They have a water purifier that filters the number of solid particles present and with them they are doing tests to evaluate the differences in taste and smell obtained in different batches.

Magpie Cafe Whitby by @diveratt

No trip to Whitby is complete without popping into the Magpie Cafe which is about halfway along the road from the bridge over the river to the pier. The Magpie has a great reputation so expect to have to wait at lunch time even in the winter or in the summer it’s best to book if you are in town for a few days. If you don’t think you can wait they also have traditional fish and chip takeaway next door.

For coffee lovers like me, we know that it is not just about consuming caffeine. It is a sensory pleasure, like the one experienced by those who enjoy a good wine. Coffee is a beverage with a unique and incomparable taste that allows us to relax and enjoy a moment of pleasure and satisfaction.

It took us a while to choose among so much variety, but we were sure about the three large lattes to enjoy. Finally, my daughter said, "I want alfajores", my mother then said "I want an oreo cookie cupcake" and to finish the order I asked for a bacon tartlet

Now, don’t think I was a child coffee-guzzler. My parents would let me have some coffee every once in a while, so I would treat myself to a bit of coffee sometimes. That morning, I poured myself a mug of ‘coffee’, just a little past the half-full mark. I usually enjoy coffee black with a teaspoon of honey.

When I got up the first thing I did was to look for the package of coffee, when I opened it I was amazed by its aroma, it was really something that I had never perceived in any other coffee I have tried, I thought to myself, if it smells like that I don't want to imagine its flavor.

I live in Kerala and ever since I remember, the aroma and taste of south Indian filter coffee have no parallel. I remember walking beside my mother as a small child to go to the coffee powder shop and my mother would instruct the shop guy to mix chickory and give her the best coffee powder.

The first thing that caught my attention is the price of coffee in Colombia, and I'm sure you're wondering why the price was so relevant to me? The reason is that in Venezuela, which is where I live, coffee is very expensive. Half a kilo of coffee can cost between 7 US dollars to 10 US dollars, not to mention instant coffee or a coffee brought from another country, where the costs could double.

And even after I have an espresso machine at home, it’s nothing to compare with professional espresso machines in the cafés. Every time I go there he treats me with a different coffee. Last week he brewed me something and passed the cup with the words “You will like this. You can search for some raspberry flavor in it!”
