Coffee break in Uzhhorod/Кавовий брейк в Ужгороді (UA/EN)

Hello, everyone!
Today I want to share with you my trip to an incredibly cosy and authentic coffee shop in the city beyond the Carpathian Mountains - Uzhhorod. But before that, a little story. A few days ago, students from my institute and our chamber orchestra went to a scientific conference dedicated to the memory of Augustin Voloshyn, a well-known public and political figure in Zakarpattia. We were to present our research papers there, and at the end of the conference, our orchestra was to play a concert. So the trip was of a working nature. The scientific conference lasted quite a long time on the first day, because first we attended the plenary session, and then we heard the presentations from the student representatives. When everyone from our delegation had spoken, we had time to walk around the city at our leisure. The dean of my institute took us to a café he had visited many times and loved.

The first thing you can immediately fall in love with is the location. Just take a look at the beautiful area it is located in: this old narrow street with small cobblestones, located on a steep hill, cannot but be charming. The restaurant itself blends in so seamlessly with the landscape.
The place is called "Shtefanyo V&V" and it is actually a coffee shop-bakery, because they make their own pastries. A special feature of the establishment is their signature cake "Uzhhorod", which for the townspeople is a kind of "Kyiv" cake in its symbolism and is a cool option for a gift brought back from a trip.

The coffee shop is decorated in retro style. The walls are white, the sofas are covered in silk, and the chairs and tables are made of wood. There are fresh flowers on the tables, which adds to the special atmosphere of the place. As soon as you walk in, you smell the aroma of fresh pastries and coffee. It's impossible to resist and not order something tasty. So I decided on a cappuccino, and it took me a long time to choose a dessert. I wanted something not too sweet, but simple. So I had a croissant.
The cappuccino here is extremely tasty, you can immediately tell that the beans are of high quality and expensive, because the taste of the drink was rich and thick. The croissant was also quite tasty, and most importantly, it was fresh and crispy! After my trip to Paris, I don't like any croissants other than French ones, but here it was really delicious. And just look at this incredibly beautiful crockery! Drinking and eating from such a sizzling pleasure.

So, after relaxing in the cafe, we continued to walk around the beautiful Uzhhorod.

Сьогодні хочу поділитися з вами своїм походом у неймовірно затишну та автентичну кав'ярню у місті за Карпатськими горами - Ужгороді. Проте перед цим невеличка історія. Декілька днів тому студенти мого інституту та наш камерний оркестр поїхали на наукову конференцію, приурочену пам'яті Августина Волошина - відомого громадського та політичного діяча Закарпаття. Там ми мали виступити зі своїми науковими роботами, а на кінець наш оркестр зіграти на концерті. Тож поїздка носила робочий характер. Наукова конференція у перший день тривала доволі довго, адже спочатку ми були на пленарному засіданні, а вже потім на слуханні самих учасників від представників студентства. Коли всі з нашої делегації виступили, то ми мали час прогулятися містом у власне задоволення. Декан мого інституту повів нас у кафешку, де сам не раз бував і яку полюбив.

Перше, за що її одразу можна полюбити - це локація. Просто погляньте у якій гарній місцевості вона розташувалась: ця старенька вузька вуличка із дрібною бруківкою, яка розташована на крутому пагорбі не може не заровувати. Самий же заклад так органічно по своїй стилістиці влився у загальний пейзаж.
Заклад має назву "Shtefanyo V&V" і це по-факту кав'ярня-пекарня, адже вони самі готують випічку. Особливою фішкою закладу є їх фірмовий торт "Ужгород", який для містян є чимось на кшталт "Київського" торта за своєю символічністю і є крутим варіантом подарунку, привезеного з подорожі.

Кав'ярня облаштована у ректор-стилі. Стіни тут білі, дивани обшині шовком, а стільці та столики виконані з дерева. На столах стоять живі квіти, що додає особливої атмосфери закладу. Одразу заходячи сюди, ти відчуваєш аромат свіжої випічки та кави. Пісця цього неможливо стриматись та не замовити чогось смачненького. Тож я зупинилась на капучино, а до нього ще дуже довго обирала десерт. Хотілося чогось не надто солодкого, а простого. І я взяла круасан.
Капучино тут надзвичайно смачне, одразу помітно що зерна якісні та дорогі, адже смак напою був насиченим і густим. Круасан виявився теж доволі смачним, а найголовніше - свіжим і хрумким!Після поїдки в Париж мені не подобаються ніякі круасани окрім французьких, але тут це було дійсно смачно. А ще ви лише погляньте на цей неймовірно гарний посуд! Пити та їсти з такого сццільне задоволення.

Тож, порелаксувавши трохи у кав'ярні ми рушили далі гуляти прекрасним Ужгородом.
