We are expecting some very cold weather and snow this weekend. It seems every year we have one last cold spell before spring can gain a foothold. I have held off putting much in my greenhouse until this is past. As I am finishing this publication our winter storm continues since last night. It has not brought much snow but it has brought high winds and -9 temperatures. With the high winds it feels much colder. I went out to check my greenhouse after dark last night to make sure the heater was functioning. The wind cut through the clothes I was wearing. I am grateful that there has not been much snow with this storm.

Today I have a number of flower photograph to share, as well as one with wildlife. I try very hard not to reuse photographs, There are times you will see a photograph of a flower that you have seen before, yet it is a different photograph. When I use a photo I code the name so I can tell where I used it.

My next photograph is of a wildflower I found on my property last year. I do not know the name but it looks similar to a lily, so it may be from the lily family. It is small but quite beautiful.

I found this zinnia in my collection of flower photographs. Its center looks a little different than most zinnias. But, it still has its main feature and that is the yellow flowerets in the center.

Last year I grew a fantastic patch of sunflowers and I took many photographs. Some were tall enough that it required getting a step ladder to get high enough in the air to get a good photograph. I hope you enjoy this bright set of flowers:

I will close with an interesting photo that captured both a whitetail deer and a wild turkey. This is one of my feeding stations but it looks like all the food is gone. This young deer looks like oe that was born last summer. I was look at the health of the animal after a long winter and this deer looks to be in very good shape.

Last week I began using steempeak for publishing my posts. It is easier to make sure I am publishing to R2cornell hive community. In the upper left hand corner, when writing my publication, there is a pull down menu where I can make sure I am publishing where I want.

I am using a Canon EOS Rebel T5 for most photographs, except where noted. I do have an older PowerShot Canon camera that I use from time to time. I have been using my phone camera for photos of plants in the plant room at times. Wildlife is usually taken by a stationary trail camera that takes photos based on motion.

Recently I was informed of another community called acropolis. @Joseph1956 shared some information about this project. It is a "a literary and cultural community in steemit".
