What I Ordered vs What I Got : A Total Disaster

I always have a good laugh when I see people giving reviews on what they ordered vs what they got. I know I’m not supposed to laugh but it’s a good thing I laugh in my room alone later on so they don’t feel bad but if you’re my close friend, just forget about me sympathizing with you.

I’m not really big on ordering stuff because I’ve been scammed so many times. It got so annoying to a point that I decided to stop ordering from people I don’t know. There’s only one person I order stuff from and that’s because I know her personally and her goods are of high quality. Aside this one person, anytime I need something, I prefer coming to purchase the item from wherever you are so I know what I’m dealing with. If I don’t want it because of some reasons I’d just leave it and go my way.

Money is really hard to come by these days and since I’m not rich, I can’t afford to splurge. I always caution people about ordering from people or companies they don’t trust. I recently watched a video about how this lady ordered her wedding dresses from a famous brand and she ended up getting scammed and even made to pay extra bucks for delivery. It was a whole lot and I’m sure she wasn’t even happy in the end since the dresses were for her wedding.

The last time I experienced the whole what I ordered vs what I got thing was a few months ago and it’s even funny at this point. So, it was almost time for our second Eid celebration some months back and my mom was always nagging about what I was going to wear. I was so busy I told her to get someone to sew something simple for me. I sent my measurements and I was happily waiting for my dress. I didn’t know the seamstress but since my mom knew her so I trusted everything will come out well.

what I ordered

The dress was ready just a day to Eid and I wasn’t even at home and so I had to get someone to pick it up and bring it to me where I currently am. I picked my parcel up a few hours later and God knows how I screamed when I unpacked the dress. Total disaster is really an understatement. This seamstress needed to be arrested because what I was seeing was a crime.

I would say the dress was the real definition of what I ordered vs what I got because the style I sent her was totally different from what she did. At this point it’s safe to say that woman was part of my enemies because why waste my cloth and money on something you can’t do. Firstly, the dress didn’t fit in general. The length was short, the hands were short, the bust wasn’t fitting and a whole lot. Even my younger sister didn’t fit into that dress. Secondly, the design was wrong. Sigh. Talking about it brings back all the anger.

what I got

I eventually had to rush to get a new dress from town since Eid was the next day. Next time I go home, I will make sure to pay that seamstress a visit with the police, that’s if my gun hasn’t even arrived yet.

That’s the best. Quality over quantity, and your business will flourish. Keep up the good work.
