The Art of Plating #4: The Plating Tips for Curry Foods
Plating curry-type food is certainly not easy for a beginner and with home-cooked food serving equipment, not like in restaurants.
Likewise with me who at first was having a hard time serving the curry food menu. I don't have a special plating plate for soup and curry.
I thought about this for a long time and I don't know whether the results for people are good enough or not interesting at all. But I try my best to make the plating this time look beautiful as well as mouthwatering.
Here's how I do plating on Golden Curry Green Veggies. For a complete recipe for this food, you can see in my previous post HERE.
Separation of solid and liquid ingredients
When plating the most important thing is to separate the solid and liquid components even though they are cooked together.
Try to add solid food first. Arange solid food ingredients attractively by not changing the shape of the original food too much. This is so that other people have a picture of what kind of food we serve.
In this golden curry green veggies, I still maintain the original shape of the Pakcoy stem.
Add the thick sauce slowly
Solid food ingredients should not be swallowed by broth. In addition to damaging the order of food, this will damage the value of photography and even eliminate a lot of interest from the viewers of this menu.
If you do not have special plating food, then make sure you add the sauce slowly. Don't let the food broth look excessive and cover the beauty of your dish as a whole.
Add Garnishes with Different Colors
For Asian people like me, chili is very helpful enough to perfect the finishing touches on plating.
Lemon chunks are also interesting to use.
Use your imagination to shape these foods into a form that increases the level of serving home food.
In the thick gravy, we can add herbal leaves. Here I use bay leaves.
Those were some of my plating tips related to serving curry foods.
Happy yummy healthy day!
