SATURDAY SAVERS CLUB - 2024 Closing Journal

Greeting Everyone

Welcome to my #saturdaysavers post and this is my closing post for 2024. #saturdaysavers is a club activity that all of us share our saving update.

Because this is my closing post, the format will be different here. Let's check my savings goals first here:

My primary goal is to grow my Hive Power as good as possible. A goal must have a target so I have decided that my primary goal is to reach 11.500 Hive Power (HP).

I do not accomplish my primary saving goal, which is to have 11.500 Hive Power. I only reach 10.228 Hhive Power, which it means I am lack of 1.272 hive Power from my 2024 goal.

Based on Quartal 4 activities, I managed to get 1.541 HP in 3 months. If I could maintain this rate, I should have got around 6.000 HP and that made me reached my goal. However what lies ahead won't be as easy as I could write here.

During our journey, sometime we get some luck, and sometime bad luck and misfortunate can occur too. That is what we should take account in our goal too. Based on my experience in 2024, I think overall I have done a good job.

What about the secondary goals?

I think I have done great job for my secondary goals. At the beginning, I set $PGM as my secondaryy goal and the project collapsed. Then I switched to $ALIVE, it was all good until their founder and their main leader went hiatus until now.

So lastly I set $LEO as my secondary goal and I finish my goal there, getting more than 1.000 LEO POWER. I could say that cultivating my tribe tokens is not a hard thing for me, or maybe I set the goal too low?

Whatever it is, I have decided that in 2025 I won't set any Tribe Token as my saving goal anymore.

So What Is My Saving Goal in 2025?

Regarding my statement above that in 2025 I wont set any tribe token as my saving goal, does this mean HIVE BACKED DOLLAR will be my secondary goal? The Answer is NO!

As you can see above, currently I am taking out all my $HBD saving there. I have 0 now, which before it was 103 $HBD. Currently I am swapping HBD to USDT, and vise versa to arbitrage the price gap.

This HBD won't be my secondary goal, however this does not mean it becomes less important. The fact is that I am setting this $HBD as my primary saving goal, replacing the HIVE POWER (HP).

My secondary goal will be HIVE POWER because I believe whoever we are, if we plan to stay long on HIVE BLOCKCHAIN, we must put more emphasize to our own HIVE POWER. Make them grow, not to a certain level only, but push it higher and higher. This does not mean that people who take out their HP are people who don't care about HIVE. Sometime we have needs and urgency in our life which we must prioritize them first above our EGO of having big and bigger HP.

however personally I believe people who do not care about how much their HIVE POWER are, those are people who do not care about HIVE. None of us have obligation to live for HIVE, but we should care about HIVE live.

anyway back to my primary saving goal...

Why HBD?

The answer is simple, I want to challenge myself. HP is locked, so once you put your stake in, you need 13 weeks to get them out. HBD is not, you only need 3 days. So the challenge on liquidity is greater.

Secondary the challenge on usage. I said above currently I am arbitraging between HBD and USDT. I can not do that with HIVE and HIVE POWER. So this will be a challenge for me, because there are times that having $HBD saving is not the best solution to generate income. It is great but like I said, there will be time that it is not the best.

Based on those two reasons, I think $HBD as my primary saving goal is more proper than HIVE POWER. I need to grow my $HBD saving while looking for more opportunity to exploit such as arbitrage, or maybe just swapping HBD to HIVE in seasonal DIPS and PUMPS from Koreans LoL.

How much is my target? I will share you later in 2025.
