School Subject Books For My Boy
When I was home in the evening, my boy asked me to buy school lesson books. He needed Bahasa Indonesia, Math, and science books. I told him that tomorrow I would take him to a book store.
After school, he waited for me. He asked his mom when I came home. At 12,00 o'clock, I arrived home yesterday. My son opened the door and he said " When do I buy books?".
I had a rest for a while and took a plate of rice and an egg. I had lunch first. After that, I rode to a bookstore with my boy.
The day was very hot. I arrived at a bookstore. It was around 30 minutes riding. I entered the store and let my boy choose the books he needed.
The store was quiet because it was the busy time. It was around 12.30 p.m. There were only a few visitors. I could relax for a while. My boy walked around the stands. He found two books, He got math and science books. He told me that he did not find the Bahasa Indonesia book.
I assured him to walked around with again. He got nothing. Then I told him to go to another store.
Then, I went to the cashier and paid those two books. After that, I rode to another bookstore. Finally, I got the Bahasa Indonesia book.
School subject books are actually free but those free books can only be used at school. Students should return the books to the library. This situation is not comfortable for students because the condition of the free books are also not good.
Then, there are a lot of students who buy books in bookstores because students can bring the books home. My boy did not want to borrow books from library because he sometimes got the dirty and torn one. And, he asked me to buy new books.
As a parent, I should give my son the best facilities for his study. Now, my son was happy because he got his new books.
It's funny to me how all the student stores here, a thousand miles away or so, look exactly the same :) I wish you and your son the best!
Thanks, a bookstore counter is dominated school books because students are the biggest market. Students will spend hundreds of thousand rupiah or more than $100 in a year for school books.
