Visit Wat Nang Phaya with traditional event and religious ceremonies in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post, I take everyone to see a temple in my district. This temple is called Wat Nang Phaya. Wat Nang Phaya is a small rural temple of Den Village. The Den Village is a village of the Tai-Yai people living in Thailand. Wat Nang Phaya is a new temple. But I don't know any information about this temple.
This trip, I traveled with my wife last Monday. The temple is about 9 kilometers from my house. We traveled on a rural road to get to this temple. The temple is on the hill. And this is some of the atmosphere on the rural roads of this trip.

When we reached the temple, we saw a temple sign which was made of simple wood. The entrance to the temple has a simple iron arch as well. And there are two lion statues on the pillars of the wall between the entrances

When we entered Wat Nang Phaya, we saw a small pavilion with a white buddha statue and a statue of monk.

Wat Nang Phaya has the only large sacred architecture : the buddha image hall (viharn). This buddha image hall (viharn) is a new buddha image hall (viharn) with beautiful and fresh colors. I really like the beautiful of the many colors and decorations of this buddha image hall (viharn).
The entrance to the buddha image hall (viharn) is a staircase with two large three-headed serpent statues. And beside the staircase are two small three-headed serpent statues too. In addition, beside the buddha image hall (viharn) there is a statue of white giant.

The temple also has a colorful new bell tower and section containing the monks' living quarters. But there is no ordination hall (ubosot) and pagoda.

Finally I will take everyone to see the atmosphere of the traditional event and religious ceremonies of northern Thailand at this temple. On the day my wife and I visited this temple was holding a traditional event and religious ceremonies too. Of course on that day there was merit-making, give the offering dedicated to the monks, pay respects to the monks, listen to the sermon, chant and pray. In addition there were shows of northern Thai traditional dance and traditional dance of the Tai-Yai people from various villages in my district.

There are many shops selling food, snacks, etc outside the temple too.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

Very colourful temple for Thai-Yai people. They still keep the old customs and tradition. The decorations around this temple are very colourful and well crafted. The food in flea market must be quite good too.
