Greetings everyone and happy weekend. Living in the Province particularly in Sitios are very fun and enjoyable. Away from crowd and any noise pollution and the only thing we heard is tweeting of birds and the blows of the wind. For this article I've created today, Allow me to share my Visiting adventure at Sitio Sambuyaan located in Barangay Pagawan Manticao, Misamis Oriental. This place is quietly far from Urbanized areas just like Barangay Poblacion Public Market and National Road. The road in this Sitio are already concreted that is why it will be very easy to pass and very accessible. 8 in the morning yesterday when me and my partner decided to visit the place, well there is one main reason why we here to get some ornamental plant my Aunt Gave me.

I accompanied my partner to be here and to get those ornamental plants while I also busy taking more fascinating pictures of the place, including their simple tools for farming and other simple way of living.

It takes a few hours of walking going to the Sitio and we take a short cut. First, we passed by in this big, old abandoned house built at the middle of this farm land were many banana plants can be seen. This big house is made of light materials just like lumbers, planks and below of it are concreted block used as a pig pen. It was already abandoned for many years ago already and the rooftop was slowly covered with big roots and some of the parts of this big house was already broke. Near of it is this big and old tree leaning down the place. The soil was been eroded due to heavy rains, the leaves was already vanished and we passed underneath of this tree because this is the road trail shortcut.

As we nearly in the Sitio, we also noticed this corn field planted at the middle of coconut trees farm land. It is nearly harvested and I was very amazed of their way of living. This is a good and perfect way so that it will lessen the expenses by buying rice of corn for the meal. This is one kind of the plant they planted in the mountain because it can survived in the intense heat from the Sun.

Some of the corn grains are started to came out and it will harvested by next Month. They manually planted this crops and cultivated the farm land using native plow pulled by a Carabao.

As we reached the place, We are greeted by some of the villagers and they make a tour in the place. As part of my blog, I also take some photos about thier simple farming and things they used in everyday life. One of is the Native basket made of bamboo and Neto. This will be used as carrying for tools just like bolo, crops and coconuts. They put some tying so that it can be very easy to carry lots of tools and crops using this native unique basket called, "Bukag".

In local term they called this thing, "Nego". A kind of thing used for separating the grains from stones. This is what the elders used backed in the olden days and it is made of Neto knetted together. Some of the villagers used this as a fruit trays were different kinds of fruits like pineapples, manggoes and lanzones fruits will placed.

They also used old tradition water keeper just like this very old jar made of clay and pots. It is very simple clay Jar but very unique. The water comes out from this thing is very cold even if there is no ice. They put a faucet so that it will be very easy to get some drinking water.

In some place, by sharpening the tools just like Bolos or machete, people used sharpening stone. But here in in the village I went, they used this long lumber and a small pieces of broken harden clay pots. They broke and pulverized on the surface of this wood and rubbed the tools they want to sharpened.

Next is this two pieces of Bamboo cut in equal length. This thing is used to filled up native wine or "Tuba". They will brought this on the top of the coconut tree, filled with fresh native wine in this two cutted bamboos called, "Sugong".

Traveling in a place just like this is very fun and enjoyable, here we can learn more about simple traditional ways of living particularly by farming. The place is also relaxing, peaceful and calm and it is very perfect to lived in here. Thank you for visiting and reading my post, have a nice weekend everyone.

We all come from a remote area known as village. It is always fun in the village even the air, the environment itself breath life to us when we visit.
