Rooted in Patience in a Big Dreams Tiny Tree

This was something I didn’t expect, a Mulberry branch or rootstock actually bearing fruit! All I did was soak the branch in clean water with a quarter teaspoon of salt dissolved in it before placing the cut Mulberry branch in the solution.

I was supposed to share this last week, but I fell ill, so I’m only continuing it now. It’s really cute, and I still haven’t taken it out of the plastic cup. Every three days, I just replace the water with a bit of salt to keep the roots and stem from molding.

I’ll wait for the roots to grow thicker and longer before transferring it to a nice pot. I’ll also prepare the soil, making sure it’s organic to support healthy growth. However, I’ll need to trim back some leaves and branches as they grow to maintain their bonsai form.

I’m not sure how long it will last once I start transferring it to a pot. Patience is essential in this kind of care. I’m doing this just to see if I can successfully grow a mulberry bonsai from a single branch. If I succeed, it will be a huge joy for me. =)

Very cool. It's always great to be able to take cuttings of plants and start new ones.

Oh my. I didn't see the 500 words, or maybe I just missed it. I'll make sure to fix it next time.
