Organic Fertilization Of Vegetable Plants In My Garden
Days with heavy rain still come to my area. However, there are indeed some days that do not rain. Then, the next day it rains so as I said in the previous blog, I have to be smart in finding the right time to do maintenance for the plants in my garden.
This is a picture of my garden yesterday after it rained. The water is still stagnant. There are two raised beds. The 2 raised beds, one contains a type of curly mustard greens, and the other is a type of big mustard greens that are larger than general mustard greens. I have talked about this type of large mustard greens before on my blog. It turns out that this mustard green is really bigger than the usual mustard greens. These mustard greens will also be ready to be harvested in a few days and I am very excited about it. Waiting for my next blog about harvesting these mustard greens.
Well, then the great thing is, after it rains, the day will be very hot and the water that had been stagnant will dry up.
So, today I took advantage of the day that was not raining to fertilize my plants. Actually, today is a few days past my fertilization schedule. I kept getting anxious when it rained yesterday because I had missed a few days of fertilizing. I hope my plants are okay.
This afternoon, I decided to take the time to fertilize some vegetable plants that were due to be fertilized. I will also fertilize the pakcoy plants, my chili plants that have entered the age of 2 weeks after being transplanted.
In this organic fertilization, I used compost and also manure. Because the manure that I got by buying online is still in pure powder form and does not have any mixture, so, I mixed the manure with compost, this will certainly also reduce costs, because the manure itself, especially goat manure, is currently expensive. So, by mixing the manure with compost it will save money.
I fertilize my chili plants first. I plant chili plants using polybags. You can see in front of my chili plants there are also tomato plants that have borne fruit abundantly but this time I did not fertilize the tomatoes, because I had fertilized the tomatoes before. So, this afternoon I will focus on fertilizing my chili plants.
These chili plants are 2 weeks old after being moved. They look fertile with their new branches. After I applied the top cutting shortly after they were transplanted previously.
Indeed, during the rainy season like this, I have many challenges in planting chilies. Because, later there will be a lot of risk of fungus in the planting medium which will cause these chilies to not grow optimally.
Later, at another time I will also give egg shell powder to the chili planting medium to reduce the acidity in the planting medium caused by rainwater.
Continued. After fertilizing the chili plants, I fertilized the pakcoy pakcoy plants.
Look, these pakcoy plants are already looking bigger even though they are only 2 weeks old after being transplanted. Indeed, I was a little late in giving fertilizer. But, better late than never, right?
I hope that the pakcoy plants can be bigger when the harvest comes.
Hope you have a beautiful day there. Although, right now your garden may not be able to be used for gardening due to the season. Until next!
Best Regards,

Even if it is only an organic fertilizer, still the plants and vegetables grows very healthy and grows better Ma'am @anggreklestari . I see your vegetables grows healthy. Here in my Simple Garden and even my Grandma's garden, we only used organic fertilizer.
This post of yours Ma'am gives an insperations to all of us here especially those love gardening. ☺️
Organic methods will keep the soil fertile. That's why plants will actually have minimal pests. In my experience, I find it easier to minimize the arrival of pests if I use good planting media, containing a mixture of soil, rice husks, and manure or compost. Thank you, have a nice weekend!
I want to follow this steps and materials to be used Ma'am @anggreklestari . I gained a lot of lessons in your article. Thank you very much. 😊
@anggreklestari, friend, I see you're using eggshell... great. It's better to use natural things on our arable soils.
That's how agriculture is, if conditions don't allow us to do one thing, then we move on to other things. Hey... and Juma?
In my area, my garden has to be able to survive extreme rain and extreme heat. When it rains, there is a greater risk of fungal attacks, especially on tomatoes, and caterpillar attacks on leafy greens.
Oh, Juma is happy in his wild life. He only comes to eat. lol
😂 Why doesn't that surprise me?
Meow.
Your plants will grow healthily with your organic fertilizer , ☺️
I love that my plants feel loved by me! Every morning I look at them from the window with gratitude!

Thank you. Gardening is really made me happy!
I see you have a tomato tree, even the price of tomatoes is currently more than the price of a kilo of avocado mango. One of the best things about having a garden with vegetables is that you have money to save.
Yeah having daily-veggie plant is really helpful for saving money 😊
Wow! Your plants are healthy. I just do not know that pakcoy plant maybe other name here in the Philippines. Hope you can how to cook them.
Maybe in your country called pechay :)
Because of the rains, your plants get plenty of nourishment. Seems like they grow quickly due to that, the fertilizer, and your loving attention. I would love to have a garden, but in the suburbs, it's jut not possible for long term due to varied circumstances.
I'd love to move to the country, but my spouse is having none of that, seeing he lived his entire life in the country, lolol.
Thanks for sharing our organic methods for keeping the plants healthy. Take care and have a good rest of your Sunday and start to the new week.

Wow, your pakcoy plants are very healthy. The rainy season is a great challenge to all the farmers because some vegetables will be rotten during rainy days.
Indeed, fungal dieses cause rotten for some veggies
You really have a green thumbs my dear. If I will go to my province I can do this but in the city its hard
@anggreklestari You have cultivated many vegetables in the garden with hard work. I like your garden even though it is big but you have arranged it so beautifully.
Besides, the yield of vegetables has been good. Best wishes to you.
