NERISSA TRIDAWN - Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge
Hello everyone! After a long absence, I'm back to participate in the SPLINTERLANDS WEEKLY BATTLE CHALLENGE and share my recent battle with NERISSA TRIDAWN. Although I completed the battle last week, I only had the chance to post about it today. This battle demonstrates the true strength of this powerful monster.
First, we have to know the story of NERISSA TRIDAWN and according to the Splinterlands lore; Nerissa is a fierce water warrior. She defends the seas, rivers, and lakes with her enchanted trident. She is well-known in coastal villages, and they frequently seek her assistance. She has slain great sea beasts that would have killed everyone in their path if she had not intervened. She has saved sailors from hurricanes and has even warned villages of impending tsunamis in order to save lives. Her bravery and brilliance in battle earned her the nickname Nerissa the Hurricane.
Nerissa was born and raised near the sea and learned to swim before she could walk. She was always drawn to the sea. And it sparked a deep magic within her. An ancient tide and wave mana. Nerissa responded to the summons and now travels between the Splinterlands' continents.
When settlers and explorers arrived in Praetoria, Nerissa was there to assist them at every step of the way. But the blight that had gripped the land concerned her greatly. Its corruption spread into the waters she cherished. She frequently crossed paths with Igor the Finback and his Trench Dweller tribe. She had to pull back each time or risk having all of them attack her at once.
When Nerissa discovered the Chaos Legion's deeper plot, she vowed to defend Praetoria and its inhabitants with her life.
Nerissa Tridawn stands out as a singular monster, lacking any special abilities. Despite this, her impressive base statistics alone make her a formidable opponent in lower leagues and games with a high mana cap.

CARD PRICE
NERISSA TRIDAWN is a prized epic card from the WATER Splinter in the CHAOS LEGION set, earning 100 CP/BCX for the regular foil version and 2500 CP/BCX for the leveled up gold foil. As of now, the regular foil has a market price of $1.499/BCX and the gold foil is priced at $11.42/BCX. Although purchasing this card can be costly, players can still play it through rental options. A regular foil level 1 costs 0.332 DEC/DAY to rent, while the gold foil costs 4.710 DEC/DAY, making it a more budget-friendly option compared to buying the card outright.
WEAKNESS AND STRENGTHS
STRENGTHS: NERISSA TRIDAWN boasts impressive versatility as a tank and damage dealer, with her 3 MAGIC DAMAGE and 10 HEALTH at level 1 making her one of the strongest epic monsters in the lower leagues.
WEAKNESSES: The 9 mana cost of NERISSA TRIDAWN restricts her usage, making her best suited for high mana cap games. Additionally, her lack of abilities makes her a challenge to utilize in higher leagues where strategies often rely on special skills and abilities.
RULESET
The game had three rulesets which are AIM TRUE , ODD ONES OUT and lastly UP TO ELEVEN . My strategy in this game was to gain a damage output advantage over the enemy by using monsters with high damage and speed. NERISSA TRIDAWN proved to be a valuable addition to my lineup, thanks to her speed, damage, and 9 HP, which made her an excellent tank. My success in this game hinged on her performance and my lineup was structured around her capabilities.
SUMMONER
KELYA FRENDUL is my top choice of summoner, making the decision to pick her a no-brainer. Her buffs of +1 SPEED and +1 ARMOR will enhance both my monsters' defensive and offensive capabilities, making her a valuable asset.
TANKS
TORHILO THE FROZEN is the ideal choice to counter magic damage, especially with the +1 ARMOR buff from my summoner. Its VOID ability significantly reduces damage taken from magic attacks, and its 4 MELEE DMGE makes it a formidable force on the battlefield
TIDE BITER is a wise choice for my lineup, with its low 3 MANA COST allowing for the inclusion of additional monsters to boost my chances of victory. Its impressive SPEED and DAMAGE also make it a formidable damage dealer.
SNEAK COMBO
NERISSA TRIDAWN is the centerpiece of my lineup, her level 1 basic stats making her one of the strongest cards. I positioned her in the third slot due to her impressive HP, which serves as an excellent tank, and her balanced speed and high damage, making her a formidable offensive weapon against my opponents.
**URAEUS **is a key component of my SNEAK combo, serving as the finishing blow to the enemy lineup. With NERISSA TRIDAWN handling the front line, this combo allows me to deliver damage from the rear while remaining protected.
PELACOR BANDIT is the centerpiece of my SNEAK strategy, using his high speed to strike first and weaken the enemy's armor or health. This sets the stage for URAEUS to deliver the final blow and secure my victory.
UTILITY MONSTER
VENARI WAVESMITH is the supportive monster in my lineup. Its 2 MAGIC DAMAGE and 3 SPEED make it a reliable damage dealer, but its standout contribution is its PROTECT ability, which enhances the defenses of all my monsters against physical damage.
KELYA FRENDUL vs LYANNA NATURA. Both summoners offer advantageous buffs, but the outcome will also depend on the performance of my monsters and factors such as luck
In the first round, we both took some damage with my team focusing on both the front and back lines using a DOUBLE SNEAK strategy, while the enemy had a strong front line with one OPPORTUNITY monster. Despite some losses, our first position monster managed to hold its ground.
The second round brought a turning point for us, as my team was able to take out the enemy's first and last position monsters without giving them a chance to strike back. This gave me a significant advantage, although I did lose my first position monster.
Similarly, in the third round my SNEAK monsters took out the enemy's SCREECHING VULTURE before it could attack, but both sides suffered some losses. Despite this, I remained in an advantageous position.
With the enemy's tanks defeated, their JAVELIN THROWER became powerless in the front line. My SNEAK combo continued to take out the back line monsters, ultimately securing my victory without losing any more of my own monsters.
AFTERTHOUGHTS
I am a big fan of using NERISSA TRIDAWN in my high mana cap games, as her base stats are so strong that they easily make up for the lack of any abilities. You don't even have to level her up to see her potential, as she already shines at level 1.
I am confident in my lineup and wouldn't change a thing. Anticipating my opponent to go for a melee-focused SNEAK/OPPORTUNITY lineup, I strategically selected TORHILLO THE FROZEN as my main tank. This choice proved to be crucial in securing my victory, as my lineup was perfectly balanced.
