So, I've done a bit of work on the brand new Minecraft server that's been built just for Hive! 😄

"What's that!?" you ask?

That's right! I made a Minecraft server, just for the peoples of Hive! It's going to be up all year and I'm going to be doing Minecraft-related contests and stuff with HIVE/Hive-SBI prizes!

WANNA JOIN!? Give me your Minecraft name and I'll add you to the white-list! 😁😁😁

First contest will be a Hardcore Challenge, and will be ready in the near future!!!!

ANYWAY!! Enough of that. Let's focus on what I've done this week.

I want the spawn area to be communal, kind of. Just have a few things around that people can use. So I started with the most important thing of all - AN XP FARM!

I love cave spider XP farms. I don't know. A lot of servers do skeleton XP farms, but I just find spiders to be better. I might do a skeleton one too in another chunk, we'll see, but for now, there's a cave spider one.

And, of course, I made a nice little area. I need to fix the hopper/chests - they're not depositing the goods into the chests, sigh. But whatevs. The point is XP.

There's a spider specific sword for quick murdering of the beasts, and an enchanting area. Also a bed incase it's night time when you're done and you don't fancy travelling at night.

And I made a nice little entrance to the XP farm.

Ta-da! 😁

Once the XP Farm was done, my main focus was playing around with the Multiverse plugin and working things out so my first Minecraft-Hive Challenge can begin at some point in the near future.

It was a bit irritating at first. I was trying to work everything out with portals, but the portals were taking me all over the place instead of where I actually wanted to go -- the hardcore world -- so I installed another plugin where the player who wants to travel just clicks on the sign instead.

Much easier.

Next step was to make sure everything was working fine with the two worlds.

I hopped into the Hardcore World and deliberately died!! And happily respawned in the main Survival world. AND, I was appropriately banned from re-entering the Hardcore World.

So that seems to be working perfectly. It's a hardcore world! YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE!

Furthermore, when entering the different worlds, my inventory changed accordingly. Perfect. So there'll be no sneaking resources into the Hardcore world, HAHA.

So here's the Spawn now. With the main Spawn building, the XP Farm in the distance, and the Hive Challenge area at the ready.

Now I just need to work out some rules and things, pull some various coins off my Coinspot Wallet and transfer it to Hive for some prize-money, and get this all rolling in coming weeks! 😁

I also added some little bits and pieces to the server. Not much, it IS meant to be Vanilla.

But I added the MobHeads plugin so people can make some collections. AND I added a warp plugin. I'm not yet sure if other players can use the warp commands, so if anyone would like to check for me, that'd be fantastic.

You can /setwarp LOCATION and then type in /warp LOCATION, and hopefully it works. It works for me anyway! But I'm admin, so of course it works. xD

I've personally set myself some warps for 'home' 'spawn' and 'xp' so I can quickly travel to my base, to the spawn, and straight to the xp farm. Feel free to test it out and let me know if it works for you or not! 😊

Anyway, that's about it for now!
