What is going on everyone! I've been thinking of making this video/article for some time now, and I am finally doing it. Just a little heads up, at the time of making this I was not aware of the new gameplay trailer that dropped today, but I will cover that tomorrow! So sit back, relax, and enjoy this video/article.

Gotham Knights is only a few months away, and I am pumped! I’m not a huge batman fan, at least when it comes to the comics and movies. But I loved the Arkham series! I did delve into some of the golden age comics of Batman, but outside of that and some good old wikipedia searching during my time playing the Arkham series, I’m pretty clueless when it comes to the batman universe! But here I am, doing this video and in it I will be telling you why I’m excited for Gotham Knights!

First, let’s talk about the premier trailer! When I saw this, I immediately thought that this was a continuation from the Arkham series. For those that don’t know at the end of Arkham Knight, Bruce ends up initiating Knightfall Protocol after he is forced to reveal who he really is. We then get a shot of reporters at the gates of Wayne Manor. Bruce goes into the manor and everything goes kaboom. And batman is presumed dead. And the beginning of the Premier trailer for Gotham knights has a message playing from Batman saying that he was dead.

But then it came out that this is not a continuation, and I could understand why at first. I mean, in this trailer we see Barbara Gordon standing up. In the Arkham series, she was paralyzed, so I thought that they had to make this a separate game in order to have Batgirl in it. But if you pay attention to the scene with Barbara , there’s a wheelchair in it. Also, if you go to the game’s website, it says that Barbara was wheelchair bound but through physiotherapy and training; she has been able to take up the mantel of Batgirl once again.

Sticking to this trailer, we also learn that Jim Gordon is dead, and since he’s death, the GCPD hasn’t trusted the bat family. This gets my curiosity pumping! I think it’s safe to assume that Gordon died because of the bat-family, or at least that’s what the GCPD believes.

We are also introduced to the characters. We will have a chance to play as, and that’s Batgirl, Robin, Red hood, and Nightwing. Originally I thought that the Robin we would be playing as was Damien Wayne, but it’s actually Tim Drake!

Next, I’m going to talk about the gameplay trailer! In it we see Batgirl going after Mr.Freeze who is trying to flash freeze the city for some reason. There’s a few things that stick out in this trailer that gets me excited, and one of them is the level number above enemies heads. I knew that we would be getting skill tree, but didn’t actually think leveling affected anything outside of skill points, but was I wrong. And it turns out that this game may be more of an RPG then I expected! But I’ll touch on that in a bit!

During the gameplay we get a bit of a glimpse of how we will get around Gotham, and that is in style! We see batgirl riding a motorcycle to get to where she needs to go. This kind of gets me excited. I mean, it would be awesome if we could customize our ride, but I also wasn’t the biggest fan of the Batmobile in Arkham Knight, so I am kind of skeptical when it comes to the vehicles and wonder if there will be any vehicle combat.

One of the big things we see in this trailer is the combat, and boy does it look good. And by that I mean it looks the same as the Arkham series, which I don’t mind at all. I heard that the combat was created around the coop aspect of the game and you can see that in trailer with some coop takedowns. If I had to guess, the whole coop idea was inspired by the Arkham night missions where we fought alongside characters like Nightwing.

We also learn that we can tackle combat the way we want to. Want to be stealthy, then there’s a path for that. Wanna be captain kick ass and bash some skulls in? You can also do that! As a person who likes to go in silent and deadly, I love that I’ll be able to do that. But overall the combat is more of the same, which isn’t a bad thing at all!

Now to get back to my leveling comment. In the end of this trailer we see a boss fight against Mr. Freeze and are told through the commenter that depending on what level you are, you’re encounters with bosses will be different. These characters don’t only level up alongside you, but they also gain new attacks and abilities as they do so. So don’t think you can get ten levels above the boss and come in and clean the floor with his face, because it’s not going to happen.

And finally, let’s talk about the story trailer. And well, there isn’t much to say except that we are dealing with the Court of Owls, who more then likely had a hand in batman’s death, and maybe Jim Gordon’s. Like I said, I’m not a DC comic buff but do know that the court of owls is this shadow organization that secretly pull the strings that control Gotham. I remember years back it was speculated that we would be getting a game involving them, and I guess here it is!

I also think that this game will offer huge re-playability. Or at least I hope it does. One thing I am hoping for is that we will get banter specific to certain characters. And depending on who we are playing as, the dialogue in Cut-scenes and encounters will be different and not just the same lines with a different voice actor. I think it would be cool to see a character like Jason Todd be more ruthless during Cut-scenes, whereas a character like Tim Drake might be more reserved.

But I do think they missed an awesome opportunity by not making this a part of the same "universe” as the Arkham games. I’m not sure why they did this because it is being developed by Warner Brothers who were the publishers of the Arkham series. And to make things more confusing, the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice league, that is being developed by Rocksteady Studios, the same studio devs who created the Arkham series, will be a continuation of said games.

Since Batman is a key member of the Justice League, I think it’s safe to assume that he isn’t dead in said games. I’m bringing this up because I believe it would have been an awesome time for Warner brothers to pull an Ubisoft and have one game lead into the other, like how Assassins Creed Rogue led into Unity.

But overall I am excited for this game! I can’t wait to patrol the streets of Gotham with my cousin as we try to unravel the mystery around the Court of Owls, and more than likely the death of Bruce Wayne!

Gotham Knights está a solo unos meses de distancia, ¡y estoy emocionado! No soy un gran fanático de Batman, al menos en lo que respecta a los cómics y las películas. ¡Pero me encantó la serie Arkham! Primero, ¡hablemos del primer tráiler! Cuando vi esto, inmediatamente pensé que se trataba de una continuación de la serie Arkham. Para aquellos que no lo saben, al final de Arkham Knight, Bruce termina iniciando el Protocolo Knightfall después de que se ve obligado a revelar quién es realmente. Luego tenemos una foto de los reporteros en las puertas de Wayne Manor. Bruce entra en la mansión y todo sale disparado. Y Batman se presume muerto. Y el comienzo del tráiler Premier de Gotham Knights tiene un mensaje de Batman que dice que estaba muerto.

Pero luego resultó que esto no es una continuación, y pude entender por qué al principio. Quiero decir, en este tráiler vemos a Barbara Gordon de pie. En la serie Arkham, estaba paralizada, así que pensé que tenían que hacer de este un juego separado para tener a Batgirl en él. Pero si prestas atención a la escena con Bárbara, hay una silla de ruedas en ella. Además, si vas al sitio web del juego, dice que Bárbara estaba en silla de ruedas pero a través de fisioterapia y entrenamiento; ella ha podido tomar el manto de Batgirl una vez más.

Siguiendo con este tráiler, también nos enteramos de que Jim Gordon está muerto, y desde su muerte, el GCPD no ha confiado en la familia de los murciélagos. ¡Esto despierta mi curiosidad! Creo que es seguro asumir que Gordon murió a causa de la familia de murciélagos, o al menos eso es lo que cree el GCPD.

Quiero decir, sería increíble si pudiéramos personalizar nuestro viaje, pero tampoco era el mayor fanático del Batimóvil en Arkham Knight, así que soy un poco escéptico en lo que respecta a los vehículos y me pregunto si habrá algún vehículo. combate.

Una de las grandes cosas que vemos en este tráiler es el combate, y se ve bien. Y con eso quiero decir que se ve igual que la serie Arkham, lo cual no me importa en absoluto. Escuché que el combate se creó en torno al aspecto cooperativo del juego y puedes verlo en el tráiler con algunos derribos cooperativos. También aprendemos que podemos abordar el combate de la forma que queramos. Si quieres ser sigiloso, entonces hay un camino para eso. ¿Quieres ser el capitán patea traseros y golpea algunos cráneos? ¡También puedes hacer eso! Como una persona a la que le gusta entrar en silencio y ser letal, me encanta poder hacer eso. Pero en general, el combate es más de lo mismo, ¡lo cual no es nada malo!

Ahora para volver a mi comentario de nivelación. Al final de este tráiler, vemos a un jefe pelear contra el Sr. Freeze y el comentarista nos dice que, según el nivel que tengas, tus encuentros con los jefes serán diferentes. Estos personajes no solo suben de nivel junto a ti, sino que también obtienen nuevos ataques y habilidades a medida que lo hacen. Así que no creas que puedes estar diez niveles por encima del jefe y entrar y limpiar el piso con su cara, porque eso no va a suceder.

Y finalmente, hablemos del tráiler de la historia. Y bueno, no hay mucho que decir, excepto que estamos tratando con la Corte de los Búhos, que probablemente tuvo algo que ver con la muerte de Batman, y tal vez con la de Jim Gordon. Como dije, no soy un aficionado a los cómics de DC, pero sé que la corte de los búhos es esta organización en la sombra que mueve en secreto los hilos que controlan Ciudad Gótica. Recuerdo que años atrás se especuló que tendríamos un juego que los involucrara, ¡y supongo que aquí está!

También creo que este juego ofrecerá una gran rejugabilidad. O al menos espero que así sea. Una cosa que espero es que obtengamos bromas específicas para ciertos personajes. Y dependiendo de con quién interpretemos, el diálogo en las cinemáticas y los encuentros será diferente y no solo las mismas líneas con un actor de voz diferente. Creo que sería genial ver a un personaje como Jason Todd ser más despiadado durante las cinemáticas, mientras que un personaje como Tim Drake podría ser más reservado.

Pero sí creo que perdieron una gran oportunidad al no hacer que esto sea parte del mismo "universo" que los juegos de Arkham. No estoy seguro de por qué hicieron esto porque está siendo desarrollado por Warner Brothers, quienes fueron los editores de Arkham. serie Y para hacer las cosas más confusas, el juego Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice league, que está siendo desarrollado por Rocksteady Studios, los mismos desarrolladores de estudio que crearon la serie Arkham, será una continuación de dichos juegos.

Dado que Batman es un miembro clave de la Liga de la Justicia, creo que es seguro asumir que no está muerto en dichos juegos.
