Horizon Zero Dawn: The Sun Shall Fail.

I would like to talk about a chapter of Horizon Zero Dawn which is called The Sun shall fail.

The Sun shall fail
Main Quest: The Oseram warlord Dervahl kidnapped and tortured Ersa, who later died of her wounds. Now he's on his way to Meridian to take revenge on the Carja. He must be stopped at all costs.

To start this mission, I needed to go to Palace of the Sun in Meridian to meet Avad and Erend.

There were Avad, Erend and Marad talking about something when I reached there and then I joined them.

Avad looked happy to see Aloy and he also looked sad for losing Ersa.

As per Erends request, Aloy told Avad that she's found a name as Aelund Forgeman and asked if hits name means anything to them.

Then Marad started talking and after remembering correctly, the Oseram has been buying up buildings across the city including one under that name. So they came to this conclusion that if Dervahl used this name as an alias to buy a warehouse then he might even be there now.

Erend was talking about killing Dervahl but Avad commanded to take him alive if the opportunity presents itself as their security depends on keeping the peace and Erend looked angry with this decision.

Then Erend left to take some guards with him and go to the warehouse and I also had to go to the warehouse to meet them and start taking action.

As soon as I reached there, there was Erend with two of his men and all of them were well prepared with armor all around their body.

Erend broke down the door and we've discovered a bomb on the floor that can be explode if we try to destroy it.

I examined the bomb without destroying it and it looked like the blazes were leaking from something upstairs.

So we went upstairs and we've discovered these barrels of blaze on upstairs near a window bracket.

After examining the place, I destroyed the window bracket.

Then I started pushing the barrels so that they fell downstairs and the bomb inside explodes with minimum casualty.

They were so heavy so Erend joined Aloy and pushed the barrels and pushed them down.

As soon as they came outside, the bomb went explode inside the warehouse and the warehouse itself destroyed instead of the whole city.

Now I had to investigate the area to see if there's any hint about Dervahl and I've found a trail and after highlighting the trail, I started following it.

There was a broken window out of a building that Dervahl used to get into the palace. Now Avad is in danger as Dervahl is about to get to him so I started following the trail.

And there was Dervahl with some of his men, walking towards the Palace.

Aloy was hided behind a tree so that Dervahl don't see her yet.

The I started following Dervahl into the palace.

There were some of his men guarding their entry point and I took them down and then I went for the Solarium.

It looked like they've got Avad, Erend and more guards their and started torturing them with a Sonic Device.

At a point, Dervahl pressed a switch to show Avad how the city falls but Aloy already took care of it so nothing happened and they ran from that location.

I destroyed the Sonic Device and I saved the peoples there although they were not conscious so now its on my hand only to fight Dervahl.

I started running towards Dervahl and he noticed me and he took out his weapon that throws sonic wave to fight me. There were two of his men with same weapons and after I took the sidekicks out first, I had to take sometime to take down Dervahl but I did it easily.

But it looked like Dervahl had a third plan, an evil plan actually.

He pressed a device that attracted some flying machines to get here and to kill me.

They are called Glinthawks and there were a lot of them.

Them kept attacking me with sonic waves and I kept dodging their attack and I kept shooting them. I have died once though, but I didn't fail the second time and I destroyed all of them in a short time.

My level even increased after killing these flying machines. And I looted some of those machines.

Then I went near Dervahl to see if he has more plans but no, he surrenders now. Erend came with a big axe and was about to smash the skull of Dervahl.

But Avad came to there and Dervahl was saved for the time being and I think this is a good decision as he doesn't deserve a quick death, he should suffer as Ersa did.

The guards took Dervahl out of that place, to a prison maybe.
My work there in Meridian has been done and now its time to say goodbye to Avad and Erend.

The conversation between Aloy and Avad was not pleasant as I took a sour option to talk to him cause it felt like he started flirting Aloy.

Then I went to Erend to have a last conversation for the time being.

And the quest was completed at that point.
