DemoniCore update: Weekly Insanity reduction!
Hello gamers! DemoniCore is a new p2e HIVE game where you conjure demons to battle, and win DCORE for slaying them in simple turn-based RNG combat.
As I mentioned in the our last post, I have been working on alternate ways for players to reduce their Insanity levels. In addition to slaying an Outerworld demon, players can upgrade a Stat, such as Attack or Defense level, which will subtract the same number of Insanity levels as the player's Stat upgrade level.
More recently, I have updated the game to subtract one insanity point per player per week, at 12pm UTC every Monday (if you had a positive Insanity balance, you might have noticed this reduction early this morning). This update is meant to simulate "natural" mental healing, and guarantees that everyone will eventually regain their sanity (even if it takes weeks), if they lack the resources to do it another way.
In the near future, I plan to release DemoniCore's first NFTs, which will provide another path to reducing player Insanity, as well as potions which can be purchased as a last resort, so stay tuned!
Special shout out to @jesseoostv and @cursephantom who have provided lots of great early feedback and suggestions in the DemoniCore discord, as well as everyone else who has stopped by to say hello, reported issues, or joined the conversation there. As someone who was nervous about starting a Discord - because I am generally introverted and haven't historically participated in chat rooms much - I'm learning how important it is for a game developer to lean on this resource. Our little community is amazing!
As always, thank you for your love and support! For anyone who hasn't yet played, please give DemoniCore a try!
Hello, I don't know how to play hive based games, could you please make a mini tutorial for newbies? Thanks!
Keep up the good work, game is coming along nicely and I only just started the other day!
Having fun, need to buy more DCORE soon and increase levels haha!
Also your Discord link is expired, might be worth editing it to never expire when creating a new one for updating these links 🙂
Hi @thegoliath thanks for playing DemoniCore and for your valuable feedback!
Oh man, I used my old Discord invite link in this post, but as you pointed out, it has expired. Here is the updated link: https://discord.gg/DxD2WEkZk5

Thanks for surfacing this @hivetrending! I mistakenly used an old Discord invite link for this post. I just edited it to use the new link, which shouldn't expire: https://discord.gg/DxD2WEkZk5
Thanks!
Seems like a token in my wallet led me to this game... 🪙 🤔
Thank you, kind stranger!
I will be following from now on.
Glad I got in before the NFT packs were released! Now I can plan for some proper FOMO

Thanks @proto26 for checking out DemoniCore - I hope you enjoy the game!
😂
By the way, how do I level up my stats? I know it uses DCORE, but I fell asleep trying to figure it out
Hi @proto26! Click on the up arrow icon next to the stat that you want to upgrade. You should get a dialog window asking you to confirm that you want to pay DCORE to do the upgrade. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties!

Thanks for letting me know! I have seen an issue where it times out during a login attempt, but it works when I reload the page and try again. Are you able to do that? If that doesn't work, could you please describe what you are seeing (spinning wheel of death, any error messages, etc.)? I'm sorry that you are having issues, and I appreciate your feedback!
