Battles to Showcase ~ Splinterlands Social Media Challenge
Hello splinterland community, how are you? How's the week going? For me, it's quite good.
As always, I am back again to showcase few of my battles, to talk about them, and get to hear from you guys to learn from the mistakes. That's how the community benefits from each other, right? So, here it is to participate in this week's Splinterlands Social Media Challenge initiative with a few of my battles.
Let's go ahead with the battles one by one...
Battle - 1: Magic of Magic
Ruleset: Wands Out
- Only units with magic attacks may be used.
- Use Phase, Void, Void Armor, and Magic Reflect to counter magic attacks.
This one was fun, got to win due to my summoner's extra +1 magic attack to my magic monsters. My opponent and my Tank were the same, a magic monster with flying ability. But in the second position, my opponent had placed a Tank HEal ability monster, to heal, and that was surely a great strategy. But with my added magic attack stats, my opponent couldn't stand still and had to be defeated easy win.
Battle - 2: No Melee
Ruleset: Briar Patch
- All units receive the Thorns ability at the start of the battle.
- Enemy units that use melee attacks receive damage back.
This Thorns ability seems like a pain in the ass as I do use melee monsters mostly but this Thorns ability sends back the damage done by any melee monster. So, respecting the ruleset I didn't include any melee monster in the lineup and so did my opponent.
I think my opponent believed in quantity over quality as becaiu see he had brought so many cards not a good one to fight and survive. I went with magic, that too with summoners like OBSIDIAN, and my opponent just made things complex as I didn't notice any good or strategic work plan. I won and left the battlefield.
Battle - 3: Attacking Power
Ruleset: Broken Arrows
Units with ranged attacks cannot be used.
Units with 2 types of attack (which include ranged) cannot be used.
Consider utilizing units with Thorns or Magic Reflect, as your opponent will have to use either melee or magic units.
Broken Arrows? No problem, I don't even have ranged cards but melee and then magic attacks. Look at my tank and the monster waiting at the second. One with a double attack, that too with 3 melee attacks, and what I did was to go with the summoner that gave additional +2 melee attacks to two of my monsters. So both my tank and second monsters are with 5 melee attacks each and more interestingly one of them will be attacking twice, isn't it enough to take down an opponent's monster in one go? Yeah, it is possible.
This strategy worked even with my opponent's bloodlust (one of my obsessions) monster in the front. I got a victory as expected.
Thank You!!
