What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!

I hope all of you are doing well in your life and also enjoying the weekend with your loved ones. For those who play splinterlands, I guess after taking a break to enjoy the festive New Year and celebrating with your family and friends, all of you are now back into action and getting warmed up on the battlefield again. If we look at the ranked arena, we have already come almost halfway through the current ranked season and right now, only 9 days and 20 hours left for this ongoing season to meet its end. So whether you are aiming to reach a particular league tier and collect those lucrative reward chests while earning SPS and Glint points, or you are fighting strongly to secure a position in the Champion leaderboard, I guess you have already worked well on your goals because there is not much time left. Now taking a look at myself, right now I am playing at the Diamond I league tier with a current trophy count of 3,420 and would need another 280 trophies to reach my goal, which is to enter the Champion League. Let’s see how much time it takes for me to reach there this season.

Moving forward, let me now come to the main topic of this post as today, I will be talking about another furious monster with you all. As you have already seen in the thumbnail above, today I will be showcasing the REDWYRM DRAGON. So, if you are interested, let’s take a dive without any further ado.

REDWYRM DRAGON

REDWYRM DRAGON is a monster type card that was introduced in the game with the launch of the latest Rebellion edition card set and this monster comes under the core Rebellion edition. This monster belongs to the Dragon element and its attack type is Magic. It costs a whooping 9 mana to use this monster in your lineup, so you can easily select this monster while fighting medium to high mana limit battles. Looking at its card rarity type, it is an Epic type card, so you will need a total of 46 BCXs of cards to upgrade this monster to the maximum level. Now apart from a decent attack power at High speed with a good defensive combo of armour and health, this monster also comes with 3 very useful abilities which I will be talking about later in this post. So, let us now take a further look at its league wise stats and abilities to find out more about this card at below.

BRONZE

At level 2, this monster possesses 2 magic attack at 2 speed with 6 armour and 8 health. Apart from defensive stats, it also gets 2 abilities called Flying and Immunity, both of which it has received since its initial level. Now while with the help of the Flying ability, this monster has now increased chance of evading melee and ranged attacks coming from non-flying monsters, on the other hand, the Immunity ability will provide it complete immunity to magic debuffs and Cripple ability.

SILVER

When this monster reaches level 3, it receives the same 2 magic attack power at an increased 3 speed with 6 armour and an increased 9 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above. Though it does not receive any new abilities, its increased speed snd health will definitely help you fighting battles.

GOLD

As this monster gets upgraded to level 5, it gets the same 2 magic attack power at a further increased 5 speed with a reduced 5 armour but with an increased 10 health. Not only that, but it also receives a new ability called Stun with which, it now has a 50% chance to apply Stun on every successful attack and if applied, it will make the enemy card skip its next turn.

DIAMOND / CHAMPION

Finally, when you upgrade this monster to its max level of 6, even here it possesses the same attack power but all its rest stats get increased as 2 magic attack power at 6 speed with 6 armour and 11 health. However, it does not have any new abilities even at its maximum level. But that won't stop you because this monster is a defensive type card, so using it before your attacking cards will be very beneficial in battles.

BATTLE LINK

BATTLE STATS

This time, I received a large 55 mana limit match where there was every element allowed to choose from except the Water element. There were also. 3 rulesets applied in this battle such as - What Doesn’t Kill You (All monsters get the Enrage ability in this battle), Lost Legendaries (no legendary monsters can be used in this battle) and Wands Out (only magic attack monsters can be used in this battle). As we can only use non legendary magic monsters in this match, our options certainly become much lesser, so I started thinking about a good strategy to tackle my opponent and at last decided to use a Dragon summoner with Earth element to get my favourite magic throwers. So as decided, I started building my lineup accordingly.

For this match, first of all, I chose the legendary dragon summoner Akane with Earth element and at the first position of my lineup, I chose the Mycelic Slipspawn followed by Redwyrm Dragon, Magi of Chaos, Suidae Shaman, Goblin Psychic and the Night Reaper at the end position of my lineup. When both the lineups were revealed, I found out that my opponent had used the Legendary Earth summoner Immortalis and at his front position, he selected the same Mycelic Slipspawn followed by the Chaos Adjutant, Regal Peryton, Magi Of Chaos, Thunderhoof Nomad and the Goblin Psychic at his end position.

As the battle began, monsters on both sides started attacking the enemy Slipspawn except my Night Reaper who targeted the Peryton. At the Ambush round, I chose my Night Reaper who attacked the Peryton and the Shaman who completed its recharging phase. Then in round 2, I got my first kill by taking down the peryton with my Night Reaper, followed by the enemy Chaos Adjutant who killed my front defence Slipspawn. Then, my Shaman performed a deadly attack and killed down the enemy Slipspawn. Next, the enemy Nomad took down my Dragon followed by the night Reaper who then killed down the Adjutant. Then, the enemy Magi of Chaos killed my Magi but soon after, my Reaper took revenge and killed the Magi. Next at round 9, my Shaman again performed a deadly attack and took down the Nomad and at this point, the only enemy monster left was the Goblin Psychic which also got killed by my Reaper and thus, I won another match and earned myself some more SPS and Glint points.

I hope you loved watching the Splinterlands battle with REDWYRM DRAGON that I shared above and also liked reading my battle post. Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
