Overview

Today I brought a Wild battle, where I will try to beat one of the strongest melee attack build that exist! The battle rulesets might help a little for me and hopefully my team will be enough to beat my opponent! πŸ˜‡

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
Back to BasicsMonsters lose all abilities.
BeefcakesYou can summon only units with 5 or more health.
Spreading FuryAll Monsters have the Enrage ability.

The mana cap for my next battle is 56, which is quite good, because I will be able to pick any monsters that I want as long as they are eligible by the rulesets.

One of the most important ruleset, which I need to keep it in mind is the Beefcakes, which means that only the five or more health monsters are available, so the actual monster pool is quite low and most of the monsters were quite pricey as well. Luckily the mana cap is high, so it is not a huge issue! πŸ˜…

The second most important ruleset is the Back to the Basics, which means that none of the monsters will have any abilities unless their Summoners or other rulesets are giving them any, so it is important to keep this in mind as well. 😊

The Spreading Fury ruleset will give the Enrage ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, which means if a monster will be damaged their melee (only) attack and speed will be multiplied by 1.5, which is amazing! πŸ’ͺ

My lineup

image.png
I used Bortus for this battle even though he cost only three mana, because he will decrease the magic attack of all the enemy monsters by one and I wanted to counter my opponent bringing a similar lineup like mine and have the upper hand over him. πŸ˜‡
Commander Slade was a very evident choice as my first tank, because he has quite a lot of melee attack, amazing speed and loads of armor and health, so he might be able to sustain quite a lot of incoming damage. 😊

The Kraken is also an a amazing tank and he cost 12 mana, which is a lot, but luckily the mana cap was high, so it was a no brainer to use him as my second tank. He also has similar stats than Slade, but a bit better health and armor, so both of them might help a lot to protect our backline. πŸ€—
The Djinn Oshannus is always works like a tank and a damage dealer at once, because he has high speed and health, so I am always happy to use him at the fron of my lineup. 😁

Nerissa Tridawn is my first real damage dealer, because she has three magic attack, which will easily ignore the enemy armors. She also has quite a lot of health, which is nice, but she has one weakness, which is her low speed. 😌
The Phantom of the Abyss is an excellent choice for this battle, because even without any abilities this monster has +3 magic damage and +6 speed, which will ensure that he will always attack first and the enemy monsters will have hard time hitting him. πŸ˜‰

The Shock Trooper is an intersting monster, because he has an ability, which will damage his monsters in every round, but he also lost that thanks to the Back to Basics ruleset, which made him an excellent damage dealer for this battle. 😜

My opponent brought Possibilus the Wise, who is a six mana Summoner from the Water Splinter and he wanted to take advantage that he gives three abilites to his monsters. The first is to give +2 health to all of his monsters while the second is to allow their melee attack monsters to attack from their second position using the Reach ability and the third is to allow them to get an extra attack in case they kill their target. πŸ€“

This was a very dangerous battle, because if my opponent start killing my monsters quickly using their Enrage, Trample and Reach ability my team wouldn't be able to deal that much damage in return.

Luckily by the end of the first round my team killed their tank, but they also reduced the health of mine to one, so at the beginning of the second round I lost him against their Coastal Sentry who got an extra attack against my Kraken, because of this kill. πŸ˜‹

My Kraken got his revenge and kill her with one attack, because the Enrage boosted his damage up as well.

Sadly the enemy team had a lot of damage as well and they used only three monsters to kill my Kraken in the second round and their Deeplurker, who was the killer also got a free attack against my Oshannus. πŸ™ƒ

The third round started good, because my team killed their Kulu, but I also lost my Djinn Oshannus right after that and their Deeplurker dealth his extra damage against my Nerissa and with the help of his teammate they even managed to kill her. 😠

This battle was quite difficult and at this point I still doesn't know how it will end...

Luckily in the next round my Phantom started first and killed their Deeplurker otherwise I would have lost my Phantom. As soo nas their ranged attack monster fell into the first position he couldn't do any damage, but if my opponent would use his Oshannus front of him the outcome might be completely different. 😜

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy worked as I expected, because as a mostly magic attack team my team doesn't really had to worry about their armors, but the Trample and Reach ability easily decimated my tanks, so it was a quite difficult battle.

Luckily my team worked together perfectly and they won this battle for me! πŸ˜‡
