Fog of War Unveiled----Triumphs and Tactics in Battle Mage Secrets-----
Introducing "Battle Mage Secrets" in Splinterlands: Unveiling Insights from the Battlefield
Hey there, Splinterfam! Guess what? It's time for another exciting round of "Battle Mage Secrets," and as usual, I'll be sharing my experiences in a blog post. This time, the @Splinterlands team have introduced the "Fog of War" ruleset, which means that all units lose their Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity abilities. However, the Scattershot ability is still effective under these rules. So, let's jump into the battle and search for an intriguing match where we can emerge victorious within this unique ruleset. Join me on the battlefield, and I'll catch you there!
CHALLENGE RULES
RULESET: Fog of War
Description:
All units lose the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities.
Scattershot still works in this ruleset.
This was a nice battle ruleset Why? Check this out!
Melee attack Monsters can attack from any position.
Monsters lose the Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity abilities.
Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.
The "Fog of War" ruleset turned out to be quite favorable for my battle strategy since it restricted attacks to melee units only. Additionally, due to the ruleset, melee units could only attack if they were in the first position, unless they have the "Reach Ability" allowing them to strike from the second position. Given these conditions, I highly recommend utilizing Summoners and Monsters with thorns abilities, as well as those equipped with Shield and Protect abilities, to ensure survival on the battlefield. Let me demonstrate how I achieved victory within this ruleset, without relying on thorns abilities.

Unveiling My Strategy:
ROUND 1:
During the first round, my initial strategy was to have the Radiated Scorcher launch the first attack and strip off the armor of the Djinn Chwala. Unfortunately, the -1 speed penalty imposed by my Summoner hindered the Radiated Scorcher's ability to act swiftly. As a result, the Djinn Chwala and the Tide Biter were able to strike the Scorcher before it could make its move. Despite being overwhelmed, the Scorcher managed to absorb the initial blows, serving as a temporary tank before ultimately succumbing to the enemy's assault.
ROUND 2:
Moving on to round 2, I formulated a new plan to eliminate the Djinn Chwala. I strategically positioned my monsters, utilizing the "Forgotten One" as my durable tank and the "Radiated Brute" with its ability to attack from the second position. The combined strength of their Retaliate, Reach, and Enrage abilities proved instrumental in overpowering the enemy tank. Additionally, I skillfully navigated through the Djinn Chwala's thorns ability, ensuring the survival of my monsters while successfully executing my plan.
ROUND 3:
With the enemy tank, the Djinn Chwala, successfully eliminated, the tide has turned in my favor. Now, dismantling the remaining members of the opposing team has become a relatively straightforward task. The -1 melee ability on my disintegrator grants me a significant advantage, as the enemy lacks sufficient firepower to take down my resilient tank. Furthermore, my team boasts ample offensive capabilities, ensuring that I possess the necessary firepower to overcome any remaining resistance.
ROUND 4: & ROUND 5
At this point, victory seems assured as it becomes evident that the remaining members of the opposing team lack the necessary firepower to defeat my monsters. It appears that my opponent may have overlooked the ruleset, Fog of War, particularly when it comes to positioning their monsters. I've noticed a slight confusion in their arrangement, particularly regarding the placement of their sneak monster towards the rear. This oversight has further solidified my confidence in securing the win.
Reflecting on the battle, it's evident that the "Fog of War" ruleset presented an interesting and challenging dynamic. The limitations imposed on abilities and positioning required careful strategizing and adaptation. It was fascinating to witness the tactics employed by the player, utilizing tanking abilities, retaliatory strikes, and advantageous penalties to gain an edge over the opponent.
Furthermore, the observation of the opponent's oversight regarding the positioning of their sneak monster highlights the importance of thorough understanding and awareness of the ruleset. It serves as a reminder that even a small oversight can impact the outcome of a battle.
Overall, the battle showcased the significance of adaptability, thoughtful unit selection, and astute decision-making. It's impressive how a well-planned strategy, even without relying on certain abilities, can lead to victory in a challenging ruleset. Such experiences make the "Battle Mage Secrets" an exciting and engaging endeavor for both strategists and enthusiasts alike.
In the "Battle Mage Secrets" ruleset known as "Fog of War," where units lose Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity abilities, I embarked on an exciting battle. With only melee attacks permitted, and units restricted to the first position unless equipped with the "Reach Ability," I devised a strategy to succeed. I recommended summoners and monsters with thorns, shield, and protect abilities for survival. However, I showcased a winning approach without relying on thorns abilities.
During the battle, my Radiated Scorcher faced unexpected damage due to the Summoner's -1 speed penalty. Nevertheless, in the following round, I skillfully eliminated the Djinn Chwala using the Forgotten One as a tank and the Radiated Brute's Retaliate, Reach, and Enrage abilities. With their tank down, the enemy's remaining team stood little chance against my firepower, especially considering my disintegrator's -1 melee.
Recognizing my imminent victory, I noticed that my opponent may have forgotten the Fog of War ruleset, particularly when positioning their sneak monster. This oversight further solidified my confidence in emerging triumphant.
