First Legendary Totem Combine!
Guys I am so excited today, I woke up and wasn't sure if claiming the land was the thing to do or not - but I am really glad I did! I'm not sure if anyone else has had this experience before, and I count it down to wonderful good fortune - but we claimed our 4th legendary totem fragment today!
So before we do that, let's just back up and marvel at the wonderful good luck today:
We also got pretty decent luck on the SPS claim all - Pandon Reach is definitely a magical region, and its showing itself in these luck based draws!
So since its our 4th legendary fragment (has anyone else claimed four yet?), its time to combine for that juicy legendary totem. This is a big deal, as the price spread on the legendary fragments vs totems is the biggest of all the totem types. This is surely because people have little hope of getting four and want to sell these valuable objects for more DEC to use on land or to buy cards.
But the totem is worth over 1800 dollars, while a fragment price is hovering closer to 250.
So just by combining them, the final product is 'worth', on paper at least, almost double what the fragments were worth. I am pretty happy we held onto these fragments. I'm not sure how many people are buying legendary totems at these prices, as it would be much cheaper to buy 4 fragments, but I can feel good, since we are not selling anyway.
This legendary totem will find its home on an SPS plot, likely a rare occupied that has only a lowly rare totem on it.
We got the popup, the deed is done!
We also got a nice set of rare totem fragments, enough to combine another one of those - the flow of totem fragments is quite a nice additional boost to the ROI in Praetoria.
So keep claiming, remember that the Expected Value of totems is the same whenever you claim, although a bit more stable if you wait longer.

If I understood well, those fragments can appear on Magical lands that are built a research facility?
Actually they can appear on any land during the claim! Rarity is random, doesn't matter the quality of the lamd.
Ah but only when claiming land? I thought that it was during "claiming" grain, sps etc... Ok so no luck for me, I have 4 land and all claimed long ago xD
Yes, when claiming any land... product - like sps grain or research! The chances go up each hour depending on your PP, and get reset each time you claim (the stuff)
Congratulations. Can you trade the fragments on the market? Or are you considering their price as based on the totem price if you had all the pieces (as in divide by x)?
