I reached some personal milestones!

Hello everyone and thank you for reading :-) A few months back, I wrote about milestones being a very important (click here) part of playing a game like Splinterlands – even though the team is doing a great effort to keep it interesting, it’s still a repetitive gaming experience. Milestones break that repetition by small dopamine kicks in the process. (To all those who don’t like to read as much as I like to write – scroll down to the last paragraph for how the community is affected and affects me).

Milestone 1 - 100k SPS

After doing kind of a savings plan for months, buying every Monday morning, I finally got to my goal of 100k SPS. The last bit took a little longer, since the price had been going up a lot and the “allowance” I gave myself stayed the same. But still – 100k. Finally. I know get 27,5 SPS each day just from interest. I still have a little in an swap pool that I had forgotten about, bringing me around 1 SPS a day more. HUGE MILESTONE ACHIEVED!

Milestone 2 - Epic Reward cards to Level 3

Getting the SPS also impacted my Glint-Earning. I know get around 500 Glint per win, with a win rate of 50% that is 6000 Glint per day – and I invested that into bringing my reward cards up to Gold level, or at least trying. One milestone there was getting the Epic Cards to level 3 (Silver League), since most of them get awesome new abilities there. That took way longer than I thought, since I never got the right ones. For example, Nightreaper and Arachne Weaver are almost at level 4 now – meanwhile, the Conjurer is still at level 2, missing one card. I gave up on that card after pulling 2 Weavers, 3 Reaper, 2 Olivias and 1 Shock Trooper (which was upgraded to level 3 with that card) – no Conjurer in 8 cards. Big milestone NOT achieved :-(

Milestone 2.1 - Common Reward cards to level 7

I rather went on and worked on my commons, getting them all to level 7 rather quickly – MILESTONE ACHIEVED! I’ll be back for the Epics later, first getting the Rares up as well, since I use those a lot.

Milestone 2.2 - Rare Reward cards to level 5

So, I shifted focus this season and bought all the Rare-Cards that I could - and almost got them all to level 5. I'm still missing 1 BCX of the Megalodon, and 4 BXC of the Razorhound to have that complete - but I ran out of the first batch of Glint. The Staked-SPS boost is coming to show... Milestone not achieved

Milestone 3 - Hive Account worth 100$

Another related MILESTONE ACHIEVED – my Hive-Posting-Account is now worth 100$! Most of it due to the rise of worth of HIVE and HBD, but still :-D And it’s not the only HIVE related achievement – after finally understanding how Curation Trails work, I’m now following the @fallen.angels trail, which aligns most to the tip-coins I already own and follow (Thanks to @javivisan for being incredibly patient and explaining so much).

Milestone 3.1 - Having a paying vote

I still have around 130 HP delegated to @splinterboost and @terraboost and getting nice returns, but I didn't delegate any more to them - instead, I saved my HP to finally have a paying vote – and I made it! With a 100% vote, I now give 0.001 Rewards to the poster. Very small step, I know, but I’m so happy that it’s finally an amount that actually gives something – contributing to the community or giving back or however you put it, it feels good! FEEL GOOD MILESTONE ACHIEVED!

It's not only that “feel good” – it seems like all my posts are now getting curated more and more. As I myself am trying to do my part for community, it seems like it is doing the same for me. I actually like to read through Splinterlands content. I like to curate it by myself, if I have time. But there are also some people that gained my trust to follow their trail, in case I’m busy with real stuff – meanwhile, writing here just becomes more and more real. 100$ worth of writing for a dude living in Ecuador is quite a thing. Talking about making money writing, well, here it is – and as mentioned, I like writing. Having $1.000 in SPS is an even bigger thing, not to mention the collection I built buying as cheap as possible (as always – thanks to @splintertrend and @monstercardstore for making that possible!).

I start to get that whole “HIVE” feeling. I don’t quite understand it yet, as some downvotes show, but I’m a quick study and always open for feedback – something restaurant business prepares you for :-D
