☀️Woolio a sheep shining in a world of darkness-Fan Art☀️
I hope you have a great day, as you know we are at the beginning of the week and I have returned with all the enthusiasm to share my Fan Art in which I have been working part of the weekend. The creature I have been inspired by for this occasion is the new little bee called "Woolio" which is in its initial and resplendent phase because it has a sunflower look that wraps around its neck.
As always, I would like you to see the step by step of my art, maybe you will learn something or give me tips at the end to improve my technique, that would help me a lot.
Woolio's design is simply adorable, and I consider that it has a clear reference to the sun, so the first thing I drew in his design was some big petals that resemble the sunflower plant all around the neck.
The rest of the body resembles an ordinary sheep, of course, but do not forget the fluffy aspect of its wool, almost as if it were a cloud.
Fix some imperfections in the design, sharpening and erasing some lines, and add a slightly long and fluffy tail.
When coloring Woolio I tried to stick to the palette of the original drawing, however, I noticed that it was better to use lighter colors such as yellow and white for the sunflower petals, leaving aside the dark orange for the shadows.
In the meantime, I painted that little bee's face in skin color and added a few layers of initial shadows, even darken a little bit the inner part of the ears later on.
After a while of painting I forgot to take pictures of the coloring process on the yellow petals, however, if you look closely you will notice that what I did was to use the intense yellow for the inside of the petals and the brighter yellow to give reflections on the edges.
Now for the fluffy wool coat I used the orange color with the border, and then with the tool I use to deform the lines I styled it to look like a cloud.
The hooves were something easy to color, because what I did was to use light dark gray and white, dividing each stroke of color and then blurring each tone to make a gradient of colors. On the other hand, for the paws I painted them in fur and brown, as well as the face.
As I am always supposed to do backgrounds that suit the creature and for this case I wanted to make it a bit more magical and natural. First I colored some bushes.
Then a greenish grass background with a blue sky in the Woolio background.
Add some shadows before continuing
When I had the grass done I wanted to make it more interactive with #holozing, so I drew a few sunflower flowers that have in the center the Zing Token logo, this process was a bit tedious, as I had to duplicate many times the same model of the flower but changing the proportion and position of each one.
In this version of Woolio you can see the grandeur and majesty of its habitat, almost seems to be from another world where everything is shrouded in darkness and only this tender sheep gives brightness and fills the meadows with life.
I would like to read your opinions or perspectives of my art, thank you for seeing my drawing, I wish you a happy day...
