Nature Healer in Gemino Onesie! (Holozing fan-art)

In my previous artwork, I received a comment suggesting that I try designing a “onesie.” At first, I didn’t know what it was, so I did some research and discovered that it’s a type of outfit that covers the entire body. I found the concept interesting and thought it would be very applicable to my Holozing fanart. Who knows? This onesie design might even become merchandise in the future! I think it would be an intriguing and comfortable piece of clothing to wear.

For this project, I chose Gemino as my first subject and paired it with the Healer of the Ocean as the character to wear the onesie. I believe it’s a great combination, with the colors blending well together. My design has a good balance of warm and cool tones.

Since Gemino has a shell on its back, I incorporated it into the onesie as the Healer’s backpack. This added a playful and creative element, bringing Gemino’s features into the design. Another feature I included is the slippers, which are shaped like Gemino’s ears. To create visual harmony, I used the same color tone as the purple crystals on Gemino’s back. This way, the crystals don’t feel out of place, as there’s another item that shares a similar color in the design.

I took a simple approach to my drawing for this piece. Starting with a rough sketch of the design, I refined the details during the linework stage. I feel like this method is faster in this situation, but it can be quite challenging during the linework. I needed to be precise with my strokes since I only had one chance to get each line right. If a line didn’t turn out as I wanted, I had to erase it and start over. That’s the downside of this approach. However, when done correctly, it saves a lot of time.

Final artwork with the background!

I used three types of preset brushes: grass, rainforest, and clouds. I like these presets because they make creating backgrounds much easier, and the results look pretty good.

I had a lot of fun experimenting with this design and learning new techniques along the way. Creating something unique while staying true to the theme has been a rewarding experience. I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback—let me know what you think in the comments!

Now, this is really nice. She looks like she borrowed the onesie from her big brother or something, though.😄

Haha, good observation. I thought onesie is supposed to be loose that's why I made it look that way :D

The combination of nature really brings out the whole point. Plus the owl custom it's a great transformation.

Looks great, you did a good job. Looking at it reminds me that I did something similar some years back for the Splinterlands character called "Javelin Thrower". You can see she's wearing a onesie too.

I think you did a better job than I did, though 🌚.
