DIY, changing the 'feed dog' & 'throat plate' of my manual sewing machie // keep working on yourself so as to improve
Have you been so upset that you couldn't finish up your work because your equipments or machine have been so bad? Well, this has been my own scenario in recent times with my sewing machine, becoming frustrating these days.
The need to be ones mechanic or engineer is very important, cultivating the habit of 'doing it yourself'is a great one which should be embraced by all young or old, men or women
In time past, challenges like this would make me call my engineer or repairer but i did build myself while i learnt to always find a solution
I needed to urgently make a traveling bad because i noticed some strange noise from the 'feed dog' and 'throat plate' of my machine.
Whenever the needle bar moves down to make a stitches with the thread in the bobbin (the down thread) i'd hear the unpleasant noise from the 'feed dog' because the machine now stopped working completely.
Hence, i need to fix and correct the error,
After doing all i could without finding a solution, changing the 'feed dog' completely together with the throat plate is the only solution to have my machine work again
Well, after getting the necessary tools, spanner and plier with different bolts and nuts, the next thing is getting down to work, while i watched some tutorials online, i also read some, just to serve as a guide.
After spending close to 2 hours, i was able to fix while the machine properly works now.
All pictures i used in this post are all my pictures taken with my samsung S7.

I really admire your bravery and ability to fix your own machine. I am having trouble with my sewing machine but just haven't found the energy to open it up and see what is going on in there. It just overwhelms me but, I must do it soon, there is a lot of sewing to do!
